Federhofer's Bakery was opened in 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri — a time when a significant portion of the city was still populated by descendants of a wave of German immigrants who flocked to the Mississippi River city in the late 1800s. The bakery now (as of 2021) serves delicacies of several derivations, including Hungarian nut horns and kolachy cokies, Danish twists, German rye bread varieties, and Irish soda bread.
