Kreativ kodieren mit p5.js, einer JavaScript-Bibliothek für Designer, Künstler, Pädagogen und alle anderen. p5.js ist kostenlos und Open-Source.
Dieser Workshop bietet eine Einführung in das kreative Programmieren – das sogenannte »Creative Coding«. Die Denkweise des Computers lässt sich dazu verwenden, visuellen Output zu generieren. Das Programmieren wird zu einem kreativen Prozess und bleibt nicht nur eine abstrakte technische Tätigkeit. Dieses neue Werkzeug können sich Gestalter*innen zunutze machen. Dabei werden Zufall, Iteration, Fehler und Logik zu Gestaltungselementen. Aber wie findet man seinen eigenen Zugang und worin liegt das Potenzial dieses neuen Werkzeuges?
Im Workshop suchen wir Antworten auf diese Fragen und lernen gemeinsam eine Programmiersprache kennen. Wir finden unseren eigenen Einstieg und erstellen erste generative, visuelle Outputs. Dabei wechseln wir zwischen den Disziplinen »Design« und »Coding« und experimentieren damit.

and we can do it in 135 bytes. this library takes a function and a dom node, and returns all of its descendent nodes that meet the filter conditions of the function. since it has to visit every descendent, it's not fast, but since it uses javascript as a selector engine, it's even more powerful than css selectors.
