Heavyweight textiles in Jacquard weave of two sets of warps and wefts. Background surface appears puffy or cushioned since the the sets of threads are woven together only where the pattern is. Also called a double cloth or pocket weave.
A special yarn with a pile protruding on all sides, produced by first weaving a fabric with cotton or linen warp and silk, wool, rayon, or cotton weft. Warps are taped in groups of four, and wefts are beaten in very closely. After weaving the fabric is cut lengthwise between each of these groups of warp yarns, each cutting producing continuous chenille which is then twisted.
