near the surface of the sun, golden light to guide our way, ornate passage to the depths, suggestions of dawn, remembrances of evening, the morning glow, the echoes, voices just around the next corner, the stony texture, imprinted on the soles of my feet, a laugh, a sigh, a caged moment, museum piece, brilliant exhibition lighting, fast asleep again, in the corner again, here we go again, around the bend again, oh.

Like music to my soul, the rain continued to pour,

Filling me up with a rhythmic excitement that I couldn't explain,

And then I saw you...

You walked gently along the puddles,

Adding more beats to the beautiful tune of the rain,

You looked carefree as you lifted your head up into the clouds,

Sharing a precious gift with the rain,

Your peaceful smile that melts my heart,

The rain managed to escape the shield of your umbrella,

Giving you small droplets of kisses,

Only because you allowed yourself to enjoy it,

That cold and yet comfortable warmth it somehow brought,

The way it covered your silent tears from the world,

But most of all, the way it allowed you to show your inner smile...

I smiled to myself, still watching you,

Secretly sharing in that moment,

Feeling lucky that I got a peek,

Thanks to the rain's majestic visit,

I got to see your inner smile...

Acceptance is the first step to overcome denial. It's understandable to walk the world alone in the comfort of your inner storm. To some, it may appear lonely. Yet, to you, it is your sense of solitude.

The refreshing smell of nature that the wind brings with every rain. Doesn't matter if you are drenched. Doesn't matter if you can't see your path ahead clearly. Doesn't matter if even with an umbrella over your head, the rain still pours through. What matters is you can still take a moment to catch your breath.

The most favorable moment is when your inner storm becomes your most trusted companion. It is when you realize, you don't need anyone. Or at least, that's what you convince yourself repeatedly.
