Yesterday morning, I was treated to the scene of this female Ruby-throated Hummingbird bathing herself on this leaf of a large hosta plant, still wet with drops of water from the previous night's rain. She seemed to be thoroughly enjoying cleaning her feathers by moving her little body around on the wet leaf. I know that I thoroughly enjoyed watching her.

The gigantic hosta in my yard are blooming and these blossoms are gorgeous! (STILL trying to get out of my backyard... :}}} )
Hostas very hardy plant, it does spread out and is easy to root, the flowers are tall and a bit spindly I think, it grows well in warm climates, shot in North Carolina.
I look forward to spring when the hostas will be pushing up through the ground around our home. Notice how each leaf has a drop of dew on its tip.

I always spend some time viewing the Hosta in my garden and around the house. They are such interesting plants. This is a drop of water.
