I’ve always been rather attracted to this Papermate propelling pencil because of its transparent barrel and the details of the spiral mechanism for extruding the graphite. Oh, and the colour… So I could hardly resist when the spiral topic came around again for Macro Mondays.
A bit of a rush job though - one take and then a patch-up in the processing. Had I had more time I think I would have used a tripod and focus stacking (or a different lens). Ah well…
This is vaguely what I intended, or at least an inch and half of it anyway. The full pencil is more interesting :)

da yellow design is it's cargo
I overlaid layers of various images on top of pictures of trucks & motors useing a difference filter on all of da snaps which kept da colors simililar
I then collaged da photos usein 7 different photos
then overlaided 3D Fractal objects on top
kinda of like a collage of a collage
all of da images are trucks motors and cargo
(I might do more--was so much fun doin dis one)

An image that will challenge the purists but nevertheless appeals to me. Pretty well full-frame, it was taken at Wemyss Bay station, and given a graphical twist.

Over the years I have accumulated a nice collection of old cameras and have decided to make a photographic record of some of them. This old Speed Graphic, photographed on a fence post in Star Valley, Wyoming, has a personal story. When we were living in Alameda, California, my wife Linda met Verlene Kunz Baker, who had grown up in Bern, Idaho which is about five miles from where we live now. Her husband, Stan, was in the Alameda police department and used this camera in his police work. Verlene and Linda became very good friends and I got to know Stan because of their friendship. When Stan passed away, Verlene gave this camera to me, and it is a well-used centerpiece of my collection. The camera's film format is 2 1/4 x 3 1/4.

ASTRO aus Paris ist seit den frühen 2000er Jahren aktiv und hat die Kombination aus Kurven, Kalligrafie und dynamischen Formen zu seinem Markenzeichen gemacht. Sein Stil wurde von Künstlern wie Hartung, Vasarely und Mucha beeinflusst und basiert auf optischen Täuschungen, kombiniert mit geometrischen Mustern und dreidimensionalen Effekten.
Die Entstehung des 3D-Murals GRAPHIC GATE an der Bachstraße im Quartier Barmen-Mitte ist das Ergebnis der Gesprächsrunde mit Kindern aus dem Kuki Cafe. Das Mural von Astro hat die Fassade in eine neue Dimension transformiert und überrascht nicht nur Kinder, sondern alle anderen auch. Viele kleine Augen, die sich wie ein geometrisches Netz über die Fassade spannen und die sich, bei näherem Betrachten, zu kleinen Wesen und Comicfiguren formieren und einladen sie zu entdecken.
