Kylemore Abbey in Connemara Ireland has to be the ultimate anniversary gift: Mitchell Henry, a wealthy London doctor, started building Kylemore Castle in 1867 for his wife. After changing hands several times, it was bought by the Irish Benedictine Nuns in 1920. Until June 2010, the nuns operated a boarding and day school, with alumni including Indian royalty and Anjelica Huston.

these are a gift for a man's size 8.5. i hope they fit his calves. i had a huge problem with the dye turning my hands blue. oddly there was no dye in the water, just on my hands. it also bled on the cream, but it's hard to see in this photo. there were also a few knots in the skein and some spots where it was dyed really unevenly. i'm not thrilled and i probably won't be using sunshine yarns again.
