Can't believe its almost been a year since I ventured out the railroad that time forgot. It's hard to put into words how cool this place is. Built 50+ years ago, the Trona Railway's power is being pushed to the absolute limit, with both grade and temp. In a scene reminiscent of the Titanic lifting out of the water, the head end of the interchange train for Searles points towards the heavens as it climbs out of the Searles Valley, with the temp sitting at 113 degrees. Seriously debating another trip back....
Fuck the children… Périgueux ! This charming town where they have a secret passion: annoying the kids. Yes, even in their strictly pedestrian streets, the very ones that house their school. So, dear tourists in search of family adventures and fresh air, a kind little piece of advice: skip Périgueux and head straight for Sarlat. There, you'll see, the air is better… and so are the kids !

Alors, chers touristes en quête d’aventures familiales et d’air pur, un petit conseil bienveillant : laissez Périgueux de côté et filez droit à Sarlat. Là-bas, vous verrez, on y respire mieux… et les enfants aussi !
