While the landscape is now characterized by a somewhat uniform brown, there are occasional bursts of color yet to be found...mainly in the form of young oaks who seem to exhibit a greater exuberance in the season than their elders who have retired for the year. In some ways, analogous to the human species, I reckon....
A great egret landing on a very windy day. The approach was nice, but the landing was awful. It didn't help that he tried landing on a branch at a 45 degree angle. Kane County, Illinois
With a measly 105mm lens, I think I may have been too close to this majestic deer in Richmond Park. He showed me his dentures, I got the hint and stepped away from his space.
After a while when he got used to my presence we had a great photo session together. I'm pretty sure he wanted to apologise for his earlier bad manners. All is forgiven and I'll be back in a couple of months during rutting with a longer telephoto.
I dare you to centre your mouse and double click!
this shot is taken and treated at night + it continues a little work with the same group of trees + for my fredagsmys album!
The roof of the Milano Cathedral, the Duomo, reminds me a level of a video game. Who knows which one?
...not just the moon but the old grain elevator appears to be in their final phase!
Some light painting to pick up elevator.
Happy Macro Monday!

Nearing the end of our journey (towards George III Pub, Mawddach Trail Gwynedd, North-Western Wales)
My eyes hurt from my pouring tears
My face is covered with makeup smears
and yet for our last and final goodbye
you're able to whisper
"you're beautiful" and mean it.

If not for macro monday theme "leaves" i wouldn't have noticed this leaf held by a thin strand of web yarn. it fell off as soon as I took this picture.
you couldn't save me, but you can't let me go, oh, no
did I take it too far
when I sold you my heart
how'd it get so dark?
