At sunrise the El Tatio geyser field roars to life, sending pillars of steam into the thin air of the Andes. I shot this scene near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, where boiling water meets icy morning air at over 4,200 m on the Altiplano—textures, light and geothermal power all in one frame.

Keywords (comma-separated):

Atacama Desert, Chile, El Tatio, geysers, geyser field, geothermal, steam, fumarole, Andes, Altiplano, San Pedro de Atacama, volcanic, geology, sunrise, morning light, landscape, nature, travel photography, outdoor, desert, blue sky, steam cloud, rocky terrain, high altitude, South America, wilderness, exploration, adventure, dramatic light, long exposure look, photography

Perfect day of shooting at Two Jack Lake in Banff Alberta.

Nice light and a small island on the lake.

I love Geelong even more when the weather allows for a beautiful day

Rookery Stairs - I did a bit of research before going to Chicago. I only had a few hours so there was a limit to what I could photograph. I chose a few places within a short walk of where I'd be centered. One of those places was the Rookery, a building redesigned by Frank Lloyd Wright. There are many buildings in Chicago with amazing architecture that can be seen just by walking through the front door BUT the Rookery isn't one of them. A bit of research told me that I'd need to take a tour to get access to this amazing staircase. I have mixed feelings about tours. They can be wonderful, entertaining, and educational - or they can be boring as hell. It just depends on the tour guide. I did learn a bit, but tours do slow me down and insure that I have PLENTY of time to look around for detail shots. Minas de Riotinto, Hueva. El río es conocido por el color rojizo de sus aguas, la coloración proviene de los minerales hallados a lo largo de su recorrido.

Racing along the banks of the Bow River under a dramatic sky, westbound intermodal train no. 101 sweeps through the iconic, and world-renowned location known as Morant's Curve at mileage 113 of Canadian Pacific's Laggan Subdivision.

First light at the Queenscliff Pier and Lifeboat shed. Even though this location is often featured in photos, Queenscliff has so many beautiful sites to explore. I really enjoyed the peace, tranquility and colours of that morning shoot, hope you have a great weekend people.
