Spring has been coming in fits and starts with today in the low 80’s but it won’t stay.
Cardinals are thinking about nesting in our artificial tree by the back door with the Mrs having built the first layer but still isn’t so sure…

We had our local family for a belated Easter dinner last Sunday, everyone vaccinated except youngest grandson (14). So good seeing each other..it’d been 1-1/2 yrs since we’d had them inside the house, I’d missed them so much!

Gomphrena globosa 'Fireworks' is a showy amaranth with a long flowering season and incredible heat tolerance. Easy to grow will provide long-lasting flowers from early summer to the first frost. The floral tuffs are of a bright pink with the tip of a bright yellow, each flower recalls a fireworks display. The flowers are located on top of long stems.
I got a new Lensbaby Velvet 56 a couple of days ago and have been trying it out - so much fun! With everything being manual on it, there is a learning curve, but hey, I have time on my hands :)

This patch of coneflowers has done really well this year, normally they are a meal for rabbits and whatever else loves them.

Everything is starting to bloom in our local gardens and this beautiful opening deep pink Alium beauty was very striking. It showed well against the garden background of other plants creating a nice Bokeh.
Deep pink rhododendron large shrub in the grounds at Glynllifon Country Park, in North Wales.
There are 16 acres of gardens and 100 acres of Woodland.
Some trees are 150 year old specimens.
……Working with filters to get the best combination - in this case deep pink & green. So garden shots it is then from here on in - well 3 weeks in the UK as it stands at the moment as we begin DAY ONE of Lock down Britain.
