AM Radio has come up with another interesting idea, and has set up an old signboard in the Wheatfield with notices about a creative writing contest that he is sponsoring. There is a time limit, and entries have to be in by March 7, so all those out there who enjoy writing, stop by the Wheatfield and get all the info there about entering.

Wish You Were Here was an English PEN pilot project in partnership with Islington Word2012 festival. Letters were sent from students in a London school to young people of similar ages in a school in Freetown, Sierra Leone. We commissioned photographs of the letters once they’d arrived in the hands of their recipients. The project celebrated global citizenship through creative writing, encouraging an exchange of ideas through literature.

She has taken a leaf of absence
off the old tree by her house
Darkness and light switch off
pumping melodies into her
musical veins
She is swimming in loneliness
in the company of her kin
No one sweeps in dreamland
after they scatter the ashes
in the wind
They just brush off the foliage
to reveal the colors of fall
Green moss and blue sky kiss
brown bark and grey mountains
goodbye

Note: This story contains swearing and adult language.
This story happens in the place where your consciousness goes when you sleep where a Cold War is being fought to unlock the secrets of this "Dreamscape". These stories are based on actual dreams I've had.
Have you ever woken up feeling exhausted? A secret Government Agency may be using you as a "Sleeper" agent without your knowledge.
