Darlene didn’t care to wear
bows in their hair
or fancy dresses to any formal party.
They mainly just wanted to roam around the town
and breathe fire all day.
We couldn’t really blame Darlene
after all, it looked quite fun-like play
Darlene seemed rather invigorated
because there were a lot of concepts
that really needed to be incinerated.

Tim Ball has been posting some wonderful film shots of the Torridon area from 1995. I thought I'd post some of mine from 2007. Xpan, Fuji Velvia. The old scans look a little dodgy these days.
It will be weeks before sanitation experts will comb through the wreckage and find our hero, maybe sooner if the scavengers can find a way through the barrier.
For now, Flit must remain in this state until someone finds her and hopefully has the tech to do a full reboot. Let's hope nothing overly heavy gets sucked into the magnetic pull over the next link-up scheduled in a few days...

Eine bonbonfarbene Ansicht im Münchener Untergrund: Der U-Bahnhof Candidplatz ist ein Bahnhof der Linie U1 der U-Bahn München. Der Bahnhof wurde am 8. November 1997 eröffnet. Der darüber liegende Platz ist nach dem Maler und Bildhauer Pieter de Witte, genannt Peter Candid benannt, der im 16. Jahrhundert in München und Umgebung tätig war.
Der Bahnsteigbereich ist in Regenbogenfarben gehalten, die ineinander übergehen und die dominierenden konstruktiven Längslinien auflösen. Das Ausbaukonzept sowie der Entwurf der Farbgestaltung stammen von Paul Kramer und Sabine Koschier (U-Bahn-Referat), die Ausführungsplanung von Egon Konrad, München. (Quelle: Wikipedia)

A candy-colored view in the Munich underground: The subway station Candidplatz is a station of the U1 line of the Munich subway. The station was opened on 8. November 1997 opened. The square above is named after the painter and sculptor Pieter de Witte, known as Peter Candid, who in the 16th century was a painter and sculptor. Century in Munich and surroundings was active. The platform area is painted in rainbow colours that merge into one another and dissolve the dominant constructive longitudinal lines. The extension concept and the colour scheme were designed by Paul Kramer and Sabine Koschier (U-Bahn department), the implementation planning was carried out by Egon Konrad, Munich ( Source: Wikipedia)

This light bulb is a light in the attic, so thinking when you have an Idea or Concept you have a light bulb moment in the brain or in the attic. I did this frame in black and white to sybolize the digital affect of an idea, with each idea it is either good or bad, right or wrong, digital, 1 or 0, no in between.

L’opéra Garnier, ou palais Garnier, est un théâtre national qui a la vocation d'être une académie de musique, de chorégraphie et de poésie lyrique.
L'édifice s'impose comme un monument particulièrement représentatif de l'architecture éclectique et du style historiciste de la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle. Sur une conception de l’architecte Charles Garnier retenue à la suite d’un concours, sa construction, décidée par Napoléon III dans le cadre des transformations de Paris menées par le préfet Haussmann et interrompue par la guerre de 1870, fut reprise au début de la Troisième République, après la destruction par incendie de l’opéra Le Peletier en 1873. Le bâtiment est inauguré le 5 janvier 1875 par le président Mac Mahon sous la IIIe République.

Flit's gaze lingers, peering across the stark expanse of the desolate wasteland, haunted by the echoes of a marketplace that once thrummed with life, drawing in the curious and the adventurous from far and wide. These days, a solitary vulture, gliding ominously above, is her only regular companion. Encounters with another soul, alive and breathing, are as rare as finding coal.
Her days are consumed with the relentless pursuit of survival, combing through the remnants of a forgotten era, her hands tirelessly gathering the glinting fragments of scrap. Each piece, a beacon of hope, a currency for the future. Amidst the unforgiving cycle of the season of withering, she amasses her treasure, dreaming of the day she can barter at the next bazaar.
Her spirit is tested, her strength waning, but Flit clings to life with a fierce tenacity. Will she cross the fissure and survive to see another day? Only time, as harsh and relentless as the wasteland itself, will tell.

¿Qué es la verdadera creencia en Dios?
Ayer discutimos que, debido a que nuestro propósito de creer en Dios solo es para obtener bendiciones, así que cuando nos encontremos con asuntos que no se ajustan a nuestros pensamientos, nos quejamos de Dios, e incluso a veces no queremos participar en reuniones y orar a Él. Esto no es la verdadera creencia en Dios, y dicha fe no es aprobada por Él. Entonces, ¿cómo hemos de creer en Dios para tener la verdadera fe en Él?
Dios Todopoderoso dice: “‘La creencia en Dios’ significa creer que hay un Dios; este es el concepto más simple de la fe en Él. Aún más, creer que hay un Dios no es lo mismo que creer verdaderamente en Él; más bien es una especie de fe simple con fuertes matices religiosos. La fe verdadera en Dios significa que la gente experimenta Sus palabras y Su obra en base a la creencia de que Él tiene soberanía sobre todas las cosas. Por tanto, se logrará desechar el carácter corrupto, se satisfará el deseo de Dios, y se llegará a conocerlo. Sólo emprendiendo ese paso se puede decir que se cree en Dios”.

De esto, se puede ver que los que realmente creen en Dios deben llevar las palabras de Dios a la vida real para experimentarlas y creen que lo que sucede todos los días es presidido y arreglado por Dios, especialmente cuando se topen con algo que no está de acuerdo con sus nociones, son capaces de venir ante Dios para reflexionar sobre sí mismos de acuerdo con Sus palabras y actuar basando Sus requisitos, con el fin de poder deshacerse del carácter corrupto satánico y lograr el conocimiento de Dios. Solo siendo así, se puede decir que son los que tienen verdadera fe en Dios, y su fe recibirá la aprobación de Dios.

The original was taken with my HTC 10 and manipulated with software on my phone. As is often the case, I noticed the image was full of noise and other artefacts after viewing it on a larger screen. Still I liked the concept, so I tried to salvage the image by adding oil and canvas filters in PS.
Original size can only be viewed through the "view all sizes" button to the right. Left-clicking shows image at about 50 percent.
Esta calle parte del vértice suroriental de la Mezquita Catedral en el que confluyen las calles Magistral González Francés, Corregidor Luis de la Cerda y Caño Quebrado, y termina perpendicularmente en la calle San Fernando. Antiguamente, se llamó calle de la Herrería, siguiendo la tónica de las calles de esta zona, que llevan el nombre de los oficios que en ella se desempeñaban (sastras, alfayatas, caldereros...)
Esta vía siempre ha tenido mucha vida y actividad de transeúntes y establecimientos. El decano de éstos es la taberna El Tablón. También son de destacar el bar Los Palcos, los Ultramarinos Unquiles y el Horno San Luis. Con fuerza han aparecido en los últimos años los baños árabes Hamman, el mesón el Jaular, el restaurante de cocina argentina La Tranquera y hasta un nuevo concepto de bar-tienda, El cazador de iconos.

Après avoir exposé à Anvers et à Venise, en 1999, l'entreprise a déménagé dans une nouvelle maison connue sous le nom de Kanaal, située à Wijnegem, à vingt minutes à l'est d'Anvers. Construit à l'origine en 1857, le vaste site était un ancien complexe de distillerie et de maltage. L'architecture existante comprenait des entrepôts en briques et des silos à grains en béton situés le long des rives du canal Albert.
Le développement initial du Kanaal comprenait l'installation des bureaux et des studios de l'entreprise. Cela a été rapidement suivi par l'acquisition d'installations artistiques permanentes, telles que celle d'Anish Kapoor, Au bord du monde. Un plan a été conçu pour faire de Kanaal un centre culturel et résidentiel, un processus qui a commencé au début des années 2000.
Les plans de transformation du site se sont appuyés sur le caractère et l'histoire des bâtiments d'origine pour donner à l'ensemble du quartier un nouveau souffle authentique. C'est un trait central de beaucoup de nos projets. Dick Vervoordt a mené un plan ambitieux pour combiner les efforts de trois équipes d'architectes - Bogdan & Van Broeck, Coussée & Goris, Stéphane Beel - avec le paysagiste Michel Desvigne. La qualité de vie était une priorité absolue et les plans ont été conçus pour adapter la conception de l'intérieur vers l'extérieur, convertissant les anciens bâtiments en nouveaux espaces de vie et de travail.
En 2017, la galerie anversoise déménage dans un nouvel espace au Kanaal, ouvrant par une rétrospective monumentale de Kazuo Shiraga.
Le premier programme de la galerie comprenait une spécialité dans l'art d'après-guerre et contemporain avec un accent particulier sur l'art d'Europe, du Japon et de Corée, en particulier l'art des mouvements ZERO et Gutai. L'accent mis sur Dansaekhwa a suivi, alors que le programme de la galerie et sa participation à des foires d'art mondiales ont pris de l'importance et que sa liste d'artistes s'est élargie.
After exhibiting in Antwerp and Venice, in 1999 the company moved to a new house known as Kanaal, located in Wijnegem, twenty minutes east of Antwerp. The existing architecture included brick warehouses and concrete grain silos located along the banks of the Albert Canal.
The initial development of the Kanaal included the installation of corporate offices and studios. This was quickly followed by the acquisition of permanent art installations, such as Anish Kapoor's At the Edge of the World. A plan has been devised to make Kanaal a cultural and residential center, a process that began in the early 2000s.
The site's transformation plans have built on the character and history of the original buildings to give the whole area an authentic new lease of life. This is a central feature of many of our projects. Dick Vervoordt led an ambitious plan to combine the efforts of three teams of architects - Bogdan & Van Broeck, Coussée & Goris, Stéphane Beel - with landscaper Michel Desvigne. Quality of life was a top priority and plans were made to adapt the design from the inside out, converting old buildings into new living and working spaces.
In 2017, the Antwerp gallery moved to a new space at Kanaal, opening with a monumental retrospective of Kazuo Shiraga.
The gallery's first program included a specialty in post-war and contemporary art with a particular focus on art from Europe, Japan and Korea, particularly art from the ZERO and Gutai movements. The focus on Dansaekhwa followed, as the gallery's program and its participation in global art fairs grew in importance and its roster of artists grew.
