The Corvette Stingray Racer is a sports racing car and concept car that debuted in 1959. The car was developed in the styling studios at General Motors (GM) at the behest of Bill Mitchell, GM Vice President of styling. The design was based on a sketch by designer Pete Brock, and was further developed by Larry Shinoda. The car strongly influenced the styling of the second generation (C2) Corvette Sting Ray.
I decided to keep the background dark in order to make the car standout better. And like the car itself, it produced a nice edgy, contrasty look. I used and adjusted the blue channel in Photoshop to do the b/w conversion. Thanks for viewing!

This light bulb is a light in the attic, so thinking when you have an Idea or Concept you have a light bulb moment in the brain or in the attic. I did this frame in black and white to sybolize the digital affect of an idea, with each idea it is either good or bad, right or wrong, digital, 1 or 0, no in between.

Let me take you back before time was a concept. After barely overcoming the trials in Yomi (Japan's version of the underworld), the God Izanagi sought a hard purification. And from this process, 3 of the most prominent Gods of Japanese mythology were born. Susanoo, the God of the sea, Tsukuyomi, the God of the moon, and of particular note, Amaterasu, the Goddess of the sun and in most versions of the tale, the most crucial of them all. But there's more reason then that, Amaterasu eventually had 3 kami (nature spirits, basically more Gods) who are now honored here at the now erected Itsukushima shrine.
I had a lot of freedom to explore this island at will since I was here for most of the second half of the day (the Hiroshima area didn't have a lot of space on my schedule). The tide was low when I arrived and of course, people were going out to it. I knew this would happen so I wasn't particularly irritated... yet. So I went to see other sites around Miyajima.
At around 4 or 5PM the tide started to come back in and the bay became inaccessible, at least to most people. There were some idiots still swimming up to the torii gate during high tide (and surprise-surprise, they were foreigners). The sun was beginning to set at this point, but the surface of the water was still too bright. So after whipping out the tripod, I finally remembered after all this time that I had small neutral density filters (they couldn't even fit on my zoom lens, I just held it in front of it). I strolled around the bay multiple times before getting this angle.
I had a nearly perfect silhouetted shot, so I thought I'd lean heavier into that for editing. The bay has a motion blur on it to make it look a bit softer. There wasn't a lot of light on what was on the island in the frame, there was even a ray of light on the mountains behind to help make out the shapes of the ranges. It was even more prominent on the mountains on the mainland. The sun remains a tad hazy, but it looks golden (not figuratively) enough to highlight this place. I also wanted to avoid heavy saturation after relying on it for multiple prior posts. It kinda looks like one of those national park oil painting posters (that artstyle needs to become a lot more commonplace, it's a relatively untapped market).
