Macro Mondays: Squared circle

The Macro Mondays theme for today, 9/6, is candy. This is a jolly rancher sour gummy. It’s in pretty close- since the gummy is about an inch long; i used a clip-on macro lens. Am liking this because the sugar crystals show up and also form the bokeh.....
But i also like the experiment fail, next in the photostream. i thought it would be cool to "tie-dye" a piece of cotton candy, using food coloring-- but dissolved it right quick ~grin~... who knows --when i wake up in the morning, i may decide to use the experiment one ~~giggling~~

Macro Mondays: "Magnetic"
A clip used to close open bags (chips or chrisps). The magnet could hold very light objects but nothing of substance.
The image is about 2 cm (0.75 inches) on the long edge.

For yesterday's Macro Mondays project I took a few pictures of the binder clips. In the end I decided to use the one that went it closest, but I still liked some of the others and decided to make a triptych.
Taken from the front seat of Kennywood’s Jack Rabbit. I’m at a pretty good clip here, and it’s the part where you’re scared and elated just after you’ve gone through the “floating” bit. I’m proud of my camera for focusing on what I was aiming for, the nadir of the dip.

This isn't an original idea - but then are there many of these?
And it all looked so simple to set-up!
I had to glue the small paper-clip to a sheet of card and subsequently 'hide' the glue where it had oozed out! Balancing the second paperclip wasn't difficult as long as the smaller clip was well fixed down. After that, it was a case of waiting for the sun to shine, and shine long enough. For me, getting a sharp well-defined shadow with my desk lamps I found impossible, so I just had to wait for the sunshine!
Usually, my first attempt at anything is often the best but not in this case - the photo needed just a bit of something, so I added the small orange bead which I think just 'lifts' the picture.
All rather formal but it kept me inside busy, mentally occupied and relatively safe.

For 'Macro Mondays' theme of 'Yellow'.
Certainly had fun with this.
It's something I had wanted to try for some time and this week's challenge gave me both opportunity and excuse.
The lighting was a pain- to get some translucency in the three sheets of paper, the get the imprint of the other side of the clip showing through, and to capture the top edges of all three pieces of paper. But perhaps the most difficult aspect was trying to control the reflection off the clip onto the paper.
To say this took one or two attempts is an understatement. Am I satisfied? I have the feeling I've missed something somewhere but .......................
