Sikorsky Aircraft Corp HH-60G Pave Hawk from the 56th Rescue Squadron (RQS) lifts from the SAR dispersal at RAF Lossiemouth on April 16th 2013. JOLLY 11 (A6206) starts its hover checks before heading off for SAR Box-2.

North American T-6G Harvard '51-15227' aka G-BKRA, holds for her obligatory engine and Magneto checks prior to departing for a '1st day of Spring' jolly out of her home base at Shoreham.
Built as a war-time trainer, this rugged design served the USAF as the T-6 Texan, the US Navy as the SNJ-5 and the RAF and other commonwealth Air Forces, including the RCAF as the Harvard.
Thousands were built and served long after WWII ended with many in later years becoming popular with the 'warbird' fraternity.
The A& AEE at Boscombe Down still use one or two as chase machines for various load dropping testing that they do there. They must be some of the longest serving military examples still flying.
This one has been at Shoreham now for some 20 years and is regularly used for pleasure flights.

I was sitting on a chair in the shade while the Rainbow-Lorikeets were eating above. One stop eating so he could check me out, to make sure all is good! After he did that he continued eating.

DREKETI, Fiji (June 13, 2015) Royal Australian Air Force Flight Lt. Luke Pitty, a dentist, prepares to check the teeth of a Fijian child at a community health engagement during Pacific Partnership 2015. The hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) is currently in Savusavu, Fiji. Pacific Partnership is in its tenth iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions to date have provided real world medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
