The Friday I had been waiting for finally arrived, the end of winter camp. Don't get me wrong, I actually had tons of fun working camp but I was looking forward to sleeping in on Monday. The last day of camp worked out perfectly. It started out with a free breakfast from my parents at Coffee Bean where I had a cinnamon roll, then the day at camp went by quickly with my favorite craft fuse beads, and the day ended with a cd from Jill containing the pictures from her visit to San Diego.

The fun doesn’t have to end! Kids are having a blast at camp, and now it’s time to secure their spot for Summer Camp! From Taekwondo to games and creative activities, our camps are packed with excitement and skill-building opportunities. Don’t let your child miss out—register today and give them a summer they’ll never forget!

Day 2 - Going back to camp..don't know who these people are lolol

So nice to have travelled after the last night at Athgira River Camp, and to see, hear and smell the sea… and then to open our room's curtains to this view from our balcony. Surely one of the best located properties in Hiri.

However, like the river camp, don't be deceived by the picture!

Those tables and chairs in front belong to a bar and while the reggae during the day was welcome, the banging dance music and heavy bass until the small hours wasn't. And this was virtually out of season with pretty much no guests or customers.

Sad to say, but for this reason it's probably best avoiding staying on or near the beach. Our property had a site site just up the hill behind us (Serene Villa Hiriketiya) where we'd go for breakfast, and also outstanding Ayurvedic massages and, given the chance to return, this is where we'd stay. Way more chill and not disturbed by the noise.

Smandrew , whilst camping. Don't let him in on your clever practical joke - he'll say the wrong thing.

April/May Hiking Trip.

Day 2. Monday, April 29th.

Tallulah Gorge State Park, GA.

My photos.

The Shortline bike trail was the best part of this day. We rode it twice. FINALLY got some quiet time in the woods. This place is SO noisy from the highway, but the Shortline was cool, quiet and pleasant.

This day was a huge disappointment. The place has a ton of rules and a schedule for water releases. We planned our entire trip around hiking the gorge using their schedule. We get their early Monday morning (only 100 passes per day allowed) and were told they're decided to extend the water release. WTF?! This is actually the 2nd time this happened to us. The first was on another trip and we detoured 200+ miles to hike the gorge, but it started sprinkling when we arrived and they closed it. And the girl at the campground was rude that day, so we didn’t even camp. Don't think we'll go back here again.

Stretch your legs, not the tape

I'm ready to go camping...don't forget me!

Did I ever mention Bren ain't like roaches? Well...she ain't like roaches.

I know most kids that ain't got their family at camp don't get a lotta attention when they rp, but I guess Bren wasn't gonna take no for an answer this time. She screamed so much I think the whole camp heard her.

Chris and I celebrate at base camp.
