Camping: The kids and I went camping. Don't they look thrilled!

April/May Hiking Trip.

Day 2. Monday, April 29th.

Tallulah Gorge State Park, GA.

The Shortline bike trail was the best part of this day. We rode it twice. FINALLY got some quiet time in the woods. This place is SO noisy from the highway, but the Shortline was cool, quiet and pleasant.

This day was a huge disappointment. The place has a ton of rules and a schedule for water releases. We planned our entire trip around hiking the gorge using their schedule. We get their early Monday morning (only 100 passes per day allowed) and were told they're decided to extend the water release. WTF?! This is actually the 2nd time this happened to us. The first was on another trip and we detoured 200+ miles to hike the gorge, but it started sprinkling when we arrived and they closed it. And the girl at the campground was rude that day, so we didn’t even camp. Don't think we'll go back here again.

Ahh, summertime. Blissful relaxation, fun in the sun and backyard BBQs.

But don't forget that Timmy's baseball tournament is coming up and Dad will be out of town on his golfing trip this weekend. And good luck planning that BBQ around visiting day at summer camp.

Don't give up on family bonding time this summer. Before you cancel that trip to Disney World, try coordinating using one of these social networks.

When I was at a shopping-mall, i saw those tents everywhere. Sometime the make this funy wooden fench around it, and I was wondering, is it included the price? But still a strange place for camping, don´t you think?

When camping don't leave your melon unattended. Or some fruit snorkin' monkey is liable to get it.

This little cub got trapped in the tree by a buffalo at Ekorian's Mugie Camp. Don't worry Mom chased the buffalo away!

Ashley made this at camp (don't remember which one, this summer is a blur!).

I love it.... so simple.

digging for something to post and it dawned on me that this flower is the same color as our t-shirts were in boot camp.......don't let the colors fool you, it was 16 seeks of a life-altering experience! Hope everyone is having a great weekend....finally down to just two days to the MRI!

mom fell asleep whilst waiting for the bears to come to our camp. don't know what she would have done had they actually arrived but she was excited to potentially see one. and we did not!

All of us when we first got to AJ's Healthy Booty Camp. Don't we look scared? (Notice how it is still dark! lol)

On back: Taken enroute to Ft. Harrison for 2 wks camp.

Don't show to Koreans. Might scare 'em too badly.

Steve doesn't think his nose is as big as it looks here.

The Friday I had been waiting for finally arrived, the end of winter camp. Don't get me wrong, I actually had tons of fun working camp but I was looking forward to sleeping in on Monday. The last day of camp worked out perfectly. It started out with a free breakfast from my parents at Coffee Bean where I had a cinnamon roll, then the day at camp went by quickly with my favorite craft fuse beads, and the day ended with a cd from Jill containing the pictures from her visit to San Diego.
