April/May Hiking Trip.

Day 2. Monday, April 29th.

Tallulah Gorge State Park, GA.

My photos.

The Shortline bike trail was the best part of this day. We rode it twice. FINALLY got some quiet time in the woods. This place is SO noisy from the highway, but the Shortline was cool, quiet and pleasant.

This day was a huge disappointment. the place has a ton of rules and a schedule for water releases. We planned our entire trip around hiking the gorge using their schedule. We get their early Monday morning (only 100 passes per day allowed) and were told they're decided to extend the water release. WTF?! This is actually the 2nd time this happened to us. The first was on another trip and we detoured 200+ miles to hike the gorge, but it started sprinkling when we arrived and they closed it. And the girl at the campground was rude that day, so we didn’t even camp. Don't think we'll go back here again.

When camping don't leave your melon unattended. Or some fruit snorkin' monkey is liable to get it.

Two rules of camping: Don't be the first one asleep, and in this case, don't be the last one up.

Back at camp. Don't know what he is holding his hand out for? $$$ maybe knowing him!

Abu Camp: Don't panic and stand a bit closer.

Join us on an exhilarating journey as we take a heart-racing flight to Lukla, the world's most famous high-altitude airport. Experience the thrill of exploring Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa town and gateway to the majestic Himalayas. Don't miss out on this epic adventure! Like and share the video to spread the excitement.

only the best for me while camping. don't you love the face in the bark piece?

Actually, a lot of people who visit camp don't understand what it means. This tussock moth caterpillar (Orgyia detrita) can probably be excused since it is so much smaller than the sign. There are people who do not like these little caterpillars because they make sensitive skin itch. They can also defoliate trees, which I think is a much better reason to dislike them. All in all, they come and go year after year. This year there were far fewer than last.

Ashley made this at camp (don't remember which one, this summer is a blur!).

I love it.... so simple.

Getting ready at home the night before. Here are many of the documents that need to be pre-printed and brought to camp. Don't worry, t here's a list of them in the Google Docs!

On back: Taken enroute to Ft. Harrison for 2 wks camp.

Don't show to Koreans. Might scare 'em too badly.

Steve doesn't think his nose is as big as it looks here.

All of us when we first got to AJ's Healthy Booty Camp. Don't we look scared? (Notice how it is still dark! lol)

The Friday I had been waiting for finally arrived, the end of winter camp. Don't get me wrong, I actually had tons of fun working camp but I was looking forward to sleeping in on Monday. The last day of camp worked out perfectly. It started out with a free breakfast from my parents at Coffee Bean where I had a cinnamon roll, then the day at camp went by quickly with my favorite craft fuse beads, and the day ended with a cd from Jill containing the pictures from her visit to San Diego.

The fun doesn’t have to end! Kids are having a blast at camp, and now it’s time to secure their spot for Summer Camp! From Taekwondo to games and creative activities, our camps are packed with excitement and skill-building opportunities. Don’t let your child miss out—register today and give them a summer they’ll never forget!

On a schoolhouse wall in Le Marais is this plaque, which reads, "165 Jewish children from this school deported to Germany during World War II were exterminated in the Nazi camps. Don't forget."

Welcome at Happy Camp!!! Don't want to move anymore: my body is a wreck!!

Lounging at camp....don't you wish you were here!

Took while camping, don't know the species.

Looking a bit camp don't you think. He is the head of the Notts Ref's Ass

I'm ready to go camping...don't forget me!

Did I ever mention Bren ain't like roaches? Well...she ain't like roaches.

I know most kids that ain't got their family at camp don't get a lotta attention when they rp, but I guess Bren wasn't gonna take no for an answer this time. She screamed so much I think the whole camp heard her.
