CPU heatpipes mounted. This was also really easy and 4 pipes are more than enough for a Core 2 Duo. It stays very cool even during full load on both cores. Pretty amazing. And the HBC is STILL in the wrong direction in this pic.
Rick says that it may live again if I haven't touched something I shouldn't while getting this picture.
This has given me sterling service since 2006 when it was marketed as a relatively high-spec unit.
This state of affairs didn't last very long, as these LG775 boards were soon outgunned by those bearing "Quad-Core" CPUs.
The VRM capacitors dried out eventually and had to be replaced in 2022.
