The light coming through the trees is still colorful this Fall. Attempting to capture the light to my liking but so far it is a work in progress.
The mountains and landscape of the Medicine Bow National Forest in Wyoming. One of my favorite places and had to revisit one more time.
The morning after daylight savings time ended. Early morning sunrise in a Fabulous morning in Mississippi.
One of the hundreds country roads along Highway 287 in North Texas. My wife is driving and I am attempting to take pictures from the car traveling at 65 mph plus.
I normally have two weeks of bird feed available. With the cold weather the birds have ate almost all I have. I am rationing bird feed and have a few days left of some items. The roads are closed due to blocked traffic and icy roads and I can not refill my supply of bird feed. Will feed the birds tomorrow morning with some of what I have. I hope enough to last a few more days.
OK this is only a dream image. Just having fun and thought I would share a "Winter scene" for those of us now living in Mississippi.
Feeding time in late afternoon. I feed the deer so I can photograph them. I have two trail cameras in the near area as well.
Back into the icy woods. I tried my best to slip and fall on my kester! Slick. This hopefully will be the last day of most of the ice. A much awaited warming trend starting this afternoon.
I have not posted a photo of Eddy in sometime. Eddy is not too sure about the snow and cold temps. He did start playing with Dawg and he seemed to enjoy the fun.
Officially not Spring; however, the signs of Spring are coming on strong. Two weeks ago we were in a moderate ice storm.
Walking in the woods this afternoon I spotted a brown object floating but not falling. After a closer look I noticed that the brown leaf had been caught in part of a spider web and was just dangling in the air.
Yes folks this is Mississippi. Another unusually cold start to the day. Another chance of additional ice today but maybe it will rain instead. Next week, fingers crossed our temps will be back to normal 50-60 F. degrees.
Rains and flooding this past January. Hopefully we will not have the same in the up coming new year.
The sun, the sun! After a week of cold, snow and ice. More than enough for Mississippi. A warming trend starting to day. We may reach 35 F. and into the 50's starting tomorrow.
