I took this photo of a wax figure of Rick Genest at a Montreal street festival a few years ago. It was so life like it was insane. Rick passed away in August of 2018.
A Sri Lankan boy runs out of the water. Does he have to get something? Did something sting him? We do not know. In the background typical Sri Lankan fishing boats.

The restaurant´s picturesque location by Siglufjord marina creates the opportunity for its guests to view local fishermen bring in their catch of the day, which later might end on Hannes Boy´s dishes.
The name, Hannes Boy, comes from an old sailor that used to spend his time outside of the newly renovated houses. He was popular with the locals and the kids which is where he got his name “BOY” from.

Street art I came across in Orlando Florida of a boy with a beetle head, this is the piece after I was done doing my take on it 3/11/20
A stone-faced teenage boy is captured while snacking some roasted nuts.
Taken at a village in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.
Il était 13h15, la rue était déserte, sans doute plus que d'habitude, toutefois c'est souvent pareil "en temps normal". A droite, le petit square Alberto Giacometti.
Mon quartier s'appelle le quartier de "Plaisance". Ce n'est qu'en 1830 qu'il fut rattaché à Paris.Jusqu'au début du XIXe siècle c'était encore une plaine agricole, parsemée de réserves de chasse, de moulins, de carrières à ciel ouvert et de puits de carrières souterraines. L'urbanisation a débuté à partir de 1830 sous forme de lotissements. Les terrains rachetés par des spéculateurs furent divisés souvent en petites parcelles, ce qui donnera de nombreuses impasses (les "villas") ou quelquefois des tracés insolites, comme la rue des Thermopyles avec son angle droit incongru. Bien que proche de Montparnasse, le quartier de Plaisance a conservé un caractère "villageois".

Ihr dürft mich gern ausschimpfen, dass dieses Bild ein wenig überentwickelt ist. Dieser Truck hatte mich vollkommen in seinen Bann gezogen. Er stand dort wie ein wirklich böser Junge – breit, gefährlich, abweisend –, so dass ich mich kaum zu nähern wagte, um ihn zu fotografieren. Er wirkte einschüchternd, fast herausfordernd, als würde er seinen Raum verteidigen.
Ein paar Schritte noch, dann tauchte auch sein Besitzer auf. Ein Trucker, überraschend freundlich, offen, beinahe herzlich – und selbst fast so monumental wie sein Truck. Die Spannung löste sich augenblicklich. Ich fragte ihn, ob es in Ordnung sei, ein Foto zu machen, und er lachte nur und meinte, das sei überhaupt kein Problem.
In diesem Moment verlor der Truck seinen bedrohlichen Ausdruck und wurde zu dem, was er vermutlich immer war: ein beeindruckendes Gefährt – nur ein bisschen überentwickelt.
You’re welcome to scold me for the fact that this image is slightly over-processed. This truck had completely captured my attention. It stood there like a truly bad boy—wide, dangerous, unapproachable—so that I hardly dared to move closer to photograph it. It felt intimidating, almost challenging, as if it were defending its space.
Just a few steps closer, its owner appeared. A trucker, surprisingly friendly, open, almost warm—and himself nearly as monumental as his truck. The tension dissolved immediately. I asked whether it was all right to take a photo, and he simply laughed and said it was no problem at all.
In that moment, the truck lost its threatening expression and became what it probably always was: an impressive vehicle—just a little over-processed.

Iban boy peering from behind an oil drum at a remote longhouse dock on the Rajang River, deep in the heart of Sarawak's verdant rainforest region, East Malaysia, Borneo. Digital film scan, Asahi Pentax Spotmatic (SMC Pentax Zoom 45~125mm f/4), circa 1973. expl#91
The longhouse is naturally positioned on a high riverbank overlooking the essential Rajang River where the treacherous Pelagus Rapids begin. It is a half-day’s journey upriver by local longboat from Kapit, a small riverine supply town that caters to the many Iban and Orang Ulu longhouse communities in the upper Rajang River region of Sarawak.
The remote trading bazar of Belaga is another day or two further upriver near the river's source.
Postscript: The modern era of fast travel and organized tourism has accelerated indigenous contact with the outside world in recent decades, contributing to sweeping social changes and a gradual erosion of the region's original charm.
While the legendary warmth and hospitality of the Iban longhouse communities persist, much of the mystery and serendipity of independent travel to this remote region is sadly on the wane.
