Photos from the Kumite Classic aka the Pittsburgh Fitness Expo at the Monroeville ExpoMart on May 23 and 24. I ended up really taking advantage of my VIP pass and took 7,000+ photos over the two days and almost all of those were of the action onstage (I realized this was where the potential money was at!). Competitions included male and female modeling, bikini, Ms. Figure, MuscleMania, and fitness. There were also a wide array of singers and dance teams.

I learned a lot in these two days including: how to shoot fast action; how to effectively use my new bounce flash including distance variables and recycle time; shooting in challenging lighting; leveraging the existing light from the stage to create shots with great lighting; changing the angles of shots to create more dynamic photos; post processing such a mass of photos
