Press L (can take a Z'ding)
Another from last year. The background is natural - just the early light falling on golden grass with the butterfly in my shadow and a tweak or two of the exposure.

You wouldn't believe it, would you? I really do have 2 square cups. Almost impossible to drink out of them but I like them for what they are. I am sure they will make a proper appearance on day. This one was my second choice for Macro Mondays (corner)
Springtime in Limpley Valley. 60019 "Port of Immingham and Grimsby" rolls meanders it way towards the station at Freshford with the 6B33 13.35 Theale-Robeston petroleum tanks. A location that has been on my to do list for quite some time, finally ticked off.
The weather was actually the least of our worries as a clear patch had formed. The clouds in the background signifying a thunderstorm that had established itself further east. A fast approaching 158 unit from the opposite direction came closest to screwing the small gallery over, thankfully the two trains passed each other left of frame - disaster averted, just!
in a world where everyone, is in search of a bigger piture, be the one that dosn't need the background to get the message.

Working with this candid street photography grab from Broken Arrow Rose District, I hated all the vehicles in background so worked to smooth them out. I wanted the tattoo and real roses to be seen over the cars behind them.
old bridge down by the mud (mud river) i have taken a lot of pictures from this bridge and now they have blocked it even for walking on. it is wildly warped and probably shouldn't be walked on.

Most of you know by now how I love 'playing' with light, a never ending beautiful challenge, food for my creative soul, which I so desperately need at the moment...
Each flower or object, most definitely people, seem to have a different 'personality' which I'm trying to capture.
Alstroemeria, the genus named after the Swedish baron Alströmer who brought them back from a trip to South America in 1753.
Also called the Peruvian Lily or Inca Lily, is a South American genus of about 50 species of flowering plants.
The flower, which resembles a miniature lily, is very popular for bouquets and flower arrangements in the commercial cut flower trade.
They have a vase life of about two weeks.
With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)
