The start of any adventure usually has hitches, and hick ups. The first day out again, riding around in the jeep, trying to find unique perspectives of the natural world, walking through Manzanita groves to try to get to the perfect angle, only to be defeated by bloody legs, and thicket beyond our ability to divine our way through.
Slightly miffed by my poor scouting skills we rolled back down to take a look at the outlet of the canyon river, only to find it was brown as dirt and relatively unappealing photogenically. So we drove a short distance away, lined up the milky way with Shasta, and called it a night with some trees in the foreground and a meteor or two passing overhead.

The Southern Lights or Aurora Australis were forecast to be visible last night and what better thing to do than venture down to the beach on a night with the minimum temperature was 29-degrees Centigrade!
Many of my shots were soft due to the sea spray and high humidity which I forgot to check before taking more images. Thankfully, I worked out what was wrong before leaving and got this one, which is my favourite from the outing due to the composition and meteor making an appearance just above the rock and parallel to the Milky Way.
You always have to be on high alert when dealing with the Crystal Dealer, and I'm not talking about Meth Amphetamines.
This guy handles rare and precious materials, he's one hell of a mineral smuggler... just a little handsy at times.

The 1950s amusement park has fallen to the winds of time. Now refuge to those that time forgot. The flash of light in the night sky proceeds the arrival of the asteroid. Life is about to change.

The Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy is an irregular galaxy, the closest neighbouring galaxy to the Earth's location in the Milky Way, being located about 25,000 light-years (236,000,000,000,000,000 km) away from our Solar System.
Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy is located in the same part of the sky as the constellation Canis Major. Canis Major is a constellation in the southern celestial hemisphere.The southern celestial hemisphere is also called the Southern Sky. Some constellations in the northern sky are Leo, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius and Pisces.
We hope that humans are able to travel that far one day if we are able to survive the dangers like asteroids, global warming ,climate change, racism, nationalism, hunger, wars, viruses (like coronavirus), sicknesses, etc.
Very Impressive and massive 2 ft. Ammonite. Don't know the species or orgin. Not mine, but I have found several this size in East Africa (too heavy to bring home so currently live in Nairobi at the University, and another 90 lb monster I hauled up a 100 ft. almost vertical cliff. Young and healthy in those days, and still thought I had died when I reached the top. The crazy things we collectors do while following our muse.
Ammonites departed the oceans along with the dinosaurs etc. after the comet/astroid struck in the Yucatan. Although their kissing cousin, the Nautiloids survived to today in the charming chambered Nautilus. The Monterey Aquarium has a remarkable huge tank full of live magical living fossils.
A rare 'blood' Aurora fills the sky across the Northern Rockies. Taken just this past weekend, red or ‘blood' aurora’s are created by oxygen atoms at an altitude of between 200–500 km (120-300miles) colliding in a high energy state and emitting red light at 630 nm. In contrast the more common green aurora are oxygen atoms at a lower altitude of 70-200km (40-120 miles) and lower energy state emitting light at 557.7 nm. In most cases to see a red aurora you need an extremely dark sky and to be looking from a lower latitude across the top layers of a distant high latitude aurora. When the aurora is closer or overhead, the subtle high altitude red fringe is drowned out by the intensity of the lower altitude green aurora. In this shot the green aurora is also visible spilling over the mountains however it has taken a more yellow hue as it’s mixed with the light of the red aurora from behind it. If you look at the high resolution version of this shot you can see 7 shooting stars in the time it took for this 20 second exposure, although 6 of them are quite faint. The shot was taken at a latitude of 55 North looking across the rugged Hart Ranges of the Northern Rocky Mountains which form part of the Pine Le Moray Provincial Park. British Columbia, Canada

After failing to steal the much needed supplies on Mygeeto, we went back into hiding. This time in the middle of nowhere. This time, we set up a facility on the astroid Poliss Massa, floating in an asteroid field, protecting the base from ships trying to land. Just in case we do have some unwelcome visitors, I’ve been tasked with getting the old outdated turrets working again. In fact, as best as we can tell, no large object is likely to strike the Earth any time in the next several hundred years.A comet could pack nine times more destructive power than an asteroid of the same mass. The speed of comets also means that a dangerous one could be nearly upon Earth by the time scientists detect it. A collision between a comet and the earth would be a calamitous event. Then dust from the impact and smoke from the fires girdles the earth, plunging our planet into a so-called impact winter.

I had waited for the moon to set before shooting, and the sky was pretty clear despite being only about half an hour from the city.
I had planned for a timelapse sequence but had to discard the second half of the batch due to lens fog as the night cooled and humidity increased. There was still enough to create a stack, thankfully.
Hmm, looks like I'm going to have to start building a heating element for my glass now..

Beim Sichten des Bildes habe ich rechts oben das rote Objekt entdeckt, dass sich für mein Auge beim Fotografieren nicht gezeigt hat. In der Mitte, direkt am Windmühlenflügel, ist der Mond zu sehen (die Sternenbildung ist durch die Langzeitbelichtung entstanden). Was ist das? Astroid, Venus oder Saturn? Um 21:45:29 war erst ein blasser Dunst zu erkennen.

When viewing the image I have discovered right above the red object that has not been shown to my eye when shooting. In the center, directly by the windmills, the moon can be seen (the star formation is caused by the long exposure). What's this? Astroid, Venus or Saturn? To 21:45:29 a pale haze was first to recognize.
A lot of you may come to regard me as a romantic misty landscape photographer and you would be right of course but my first love is the world of abstract and patterns especially that of nature, like this half frozen puddle on a muddy track by adding some structure and contrasts I managed to get this as a final result, as I was looking down and taking this is made me feel like I as an Astronaut looking down on the moons surface!!
I still gather experience to my comic book. This shot will be one of first used. The story, starts at Kuiper belt.
I work really hard to learn to do better pictures,it is very very demanding for me. Atleast in this shot i was quite aware what to do with lights.
During the maximum of the Leoniden meteorite shower this almost one hour during exposure was made, showing only one bright Leonide meteorite, and a passing plane.

Just a little too close to the light pollution of Flagstaff.
Ann Lone knows the vastness of space. She also knows life on a ship – challenging and full of privations.
She has lost her parents at a young age in the Galactic Civil War. Afterwards she has served as a mechanic on several freighters and under the command of the morst dangerous space pirates. In this doubtful company she grew up to be a tough woman. At the age of 16 she already acquired her own vessel from a ship graveyard. She was able to repair the busted YT 1300 and introduced a lot of special modifications. Ann gave her the name „Red Fox“ and painted the upper hull with the distinctive red marks.
Shortly after, Ann became herself a space pirate, but she has kept a good heart. The „Red Fox“ was last seen close to the dangerous outer rim of the galaxy, where only a few trade routs are established and lonely ships stray trough the massive astroid fields.

The silhouettes and the red background gives a nice contrast.

-Engineer : Truly embodying the Scott Space Pirate motif, the engineers keep the ships running for the ICS. They are known for their quick fixes and their "its not rocket science" approach to rocket science.
-Heavy Specialists : Often seen taking advantage of lessened gravity with their heavy armor and equipment, the heavy specialists receive complaints often about their non-caseless ammunition that is ejected at a rate of 500 rps out of their miniguns. It seems like a major over sight when they fly at high speeds in every direction in zero gravity, not to mention the lack of need for a rotating barrel set up in the cold vacuum of space; but hey, it looks cool.

My dad's dad, my grandfather, was nine years old when President Lincoln died.
Most people think I am speaking of my GREAT GRANDFATHER. NO, I am referring to my dad's father, my paternal Grandfather, Robert Levi Huffstutter, born in 1856.
What does this information have to do with my profile? It might help the reader understand that I have a sense of being much older than I am in that only one generation seperates me from President Lincoln. Sometimes, I feel this short time span has some historical significance in the way I respond to history; it has created a mindset that I consider a grass-roots advantage
Perhaps this is the reason I value certain truths, standards and idealogies of older Americans, the men who were the soldiers and sailors I saw when I was a small boy.
A BRIEF AND UNEDITED ESSAY ON WISDOM AS I UNDERSTAND IT ONE DAY AT A TIME, NEVER CLOSING MY MIND TO NEW IDEAS, NEW IDEOLOGIES AND NEW PHILOSOPHY, BUT ALWAYS WISHING THAT THIS LIFE COULD BE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR A NEW BEGINNING WHEN THIS LIFE ENDS....
Amusement is one of the joys of life. Now, about life: you have yours and I have mine. This is true of each individual in the world. It is my personal belief that with this life is a freedom to choose; we can choose to be yoked to bondange through organized religion, political affiliations or the forces of evil which are most definitely as real as the astroids that zip about. Oh, and there is the force of goodness.
If you have studied science, you realize that almost every action has a reaction; every positive has a negative. That is, until our minds and spirits mature to the point where we can control these forces, harness this energy for goodness or evil. As children, we flitter about doing good and evil; as adults, we do much the same. It is only with the use of our minds do we manage to make decisions that will identify us as positive or negative. There should be no debate over the values or standards involved in goodness and evil.
Evil is that which hates and destroys; goodness is that which constructs and loves. Surely, this is a knowledge that must have been instilled in our minds by whoever or whatever created this vast universe and holds the secret of life. This, of course, is only my opinion. If yours is different, no problem; this world is large enough for both of us, even if you or I decide to move to an island where there is no dialogue or media to try and stir up world wars. Again, an opinion.
I have opted to join what I deem the legions of goodness and love, though it has taken some time to overcome the superficial thorns that will constantly pierce me and cause conflict in my mind and heart.
About patriotism; I am a patriotic American. I have served in the military under three Commanders-in-Chief, Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson. It was my good fortune to have seen all three of these Presidents while serving in the U.S. Navy. What's more, I had a face-to-face or one-on-one moment with President Truman shortly after entering civilian life and returning to college. While it was only a brief moment in time, it was a moment in time I will always remember; it was a most surreal moment. There is more about this meeting in my photostream.
If you continue reading my work in my various journals you will note that I have complex views, simple views and sometimes no view whatsoever, especially about sports and opera. If you follow my journals you have probably already realized that I am sometimes quick to judge. If I have offended you in any way, I apologize.
Sometimes I display more ignorance than wisdom in my attempt to be humorous. And yes, I have an impulsive and emotional strain that will grab my arm and cause me to vent on issues I am not qualified to comment on, but want to anyway.
I am probably what some might call an "old soul", only a generaton away from President Lincoln.
My grandfather was born in 1856 and was nine years old when President Lincoln died; my father was born in 1912 and I was born in the very early 40s. Do you understand my comment about the "old soul" issue and that sometimes, because of this generational nearness, it causes me to look at life in a different perspective.
About my country: I love America and enjoyed growing up in the USA in the 1960s. Do I believe the USA has made some big errors? Yes, the biggest one was beginning a nation while slavery was permitted. I cannot believe that this happened. Thus, I understand many of the problems that exist in this world.
I also realize that much of Europe dealt in slavery long before America was discovered. Do I feel that there should be reparations for those enslaved prior to the Civil War? Perhaps, but in my mind, the price was paid by those who fought to rid this nation of slavery; the issue was sealed in blood on the battlefields such as Gettysburg.
Do I believe that America is still the land of opportunity? I believe that the election of President Obama has proven that America is-- now--the land of opportunity.
Because each President has the right to introduce plans and changes that he believes are best for the nation, I have no issues with the programs he is introducing so far. If he does not do the job America elected him to do, there will be another election in 2012. In the interim, I shall support him and honor his office. Personally, I think he is a sincere American, a good father, and has the interest of the USA in his heart and mind.
About religion: I believe it is best kept within the minds of each individual and services should be private, taking place within the heart, mind and soul of each person. However, I believe in the right for assembly, religious assembly and all peaceful assembly.
I do believe that no laws should be made about religion unless they are made for the protection of the populace. To present an example of religion freedom that should be regulated by law:
human sacrifice should be against the law; corporal punishment for what might be termed as "religious sins" by some religious groups should not be tolerated and should be against the law. Laws about religion must be considered only when religion breaks the law.
About world peace: there will be no world peace until the mothers of this world love their own children more than they hate the children of those whose religions and ethnic origins are different than their own.
Women must bear some of the fault for the tragedy of war for not teaching their children about loving others. The men who wage these wars are instruments of ignorant leaders who are selfish and without love or wisdom.
To summarize: If I could create a perfect world, I would. However, we would most likely be robots, following orders to do good, thus it would not be genuine. There are times when I feel we have been created for the amusement of some distant enity or creator And then I look at the beauty and miracles of Springtime. It is my belief that mankind will never find all of the answers sought, that some wisdom will never be discovered. It is my belief that there is a Creator with wisdom and knowledge that is beyond our ability to comprehend.
Like many people throughout the world, I am hoping there will be a joyful and serene experience waiting for us at the end of this lifetime, that a new life will begin in some way, shape or form that we can comprehend.
Although I am older than most of the American and world population, my mind still has the ability to learn; I can still change my views if I see the wisdom. At the present time, my opinion of political events and the entire political arena in the United States, no matter what the party affiliation might be, is less than enthusiastic. During the past ten years, America has lost much respect and credibility throughout the world. Hopefully, this is changing.

Another montage of photos I caputred of the Lunar Eclipse March 3rd 2007. My first few shots of the moon looked quite brown - I am pleased I took a white balance measurement now. The Greatest Eclipse was almost impossible to focus on/view through my lens - I am sure most of us thought this too. It was not the "bright orange moon" we imagined it was going to be, but I think this represents somewhat the event!

何じゃそれ?っていう方も多いかもしれません。
いわゆる電子ファインダーです。
広い視界から対象を選んで、望遠鏡の視野に入れるのが楽に出来ます。
部屋の中から操作しているので、ベランダから見える空や望遠鏡の様子が分からないのですが、Astroidの画面(アンドロイドタブレットの画面)を見ながら操作出来ることが可能です。
ASIAIRで操作する赤道儀なので必要ないと思っていました。
しかし私はEQ6-Rをホームポジションをきちんと設定できない、アライメントを毎回合わせられないなどがあります。
やって見て分かったのですが、、、私のやり方かもしれませんが、導入が上手くいかなかった場合の調整が出来るのは良いですね。
ドブソニアンの方など良いと思います。

If a life form arrived at our planet millions of years ago, it would have found the proper environment to develop. Cells contain genetic information that allows life to thrive on Earth. The "tree of life" shows how life developed from simple forms to humans. As life evolved, many species emerged, and some got extinct.
The cells of life forms have survived by going from spices to species. On the way of the development, there were some hurdles like species have killed and ate other species. It looks like the development went in the wrong direction, but the cells have survived with the killers and survivals. Important is cells and hosts. Species are created to be just hosts, just to carry the cells. The species' blueprint was always kept in cells to make sure that dominant species go on, live.
Sperms, made of cells, travel to other host during love making so that the life of the cell continues, with the latest genetic information. Our bodies comprise interconnected cells. When we watch TV, cells watch too. Aliens may have spread their cells throughout the universe to ensure survival. They might have created suitable environments for cell survival in asteroids.
Humans are not perfect and have flaws. Our sufferings are not imported as we are just hosts, acting in that way too. We prioritize humanity over individuals. Humans have a lot of cells to compare to a human. Many people die in wars, traffics accidents, etc. Who cares? There are already more hosts on earth, billions of them. A couple dies, no problem!
If we would not be just hosts, we would act differently, would care for the death of a fellow human being, and would adopt the mindset that one death is too many.
There's an astroid in the sky. On top of the asteroid is a castle. Wait, the sky has ripples. I would not want to fall off of that asteroid... at least the castle looks safe inside the ripples of the parallel universe..
Global-1. Global-1 is a corparation who feeds off others like the great war. They go to mining colonys on remote astroids and planets to take control then sell both sides of the war recources they took forcefully. They have built themselves a army to take and protect the carupt operation they run. Other similiar corperations are the kuzlo corp and nik corp who also do simialar ways of obtaining wealth.

* 3rd July 2107 an object half a kilometre long is hurtling and tumbling towards Earth at 380,000 metres per second at a distance of 2 AU
* 27 days later the object is arrested and brought to stationary condition by electromagnetic fields projected from astroid interceptor ships from earth
* The object is identified as a spaceship
* There is no crew on board, just the personal affects of a crew of approximately 24 souls who are thought to be human
* ships log starts at the exact time the object appeared, no history whatsoever before then.
* The equipment on the ship identifies as being built at Earths moon shipyard, but none of the serial numbers can be found in the shipyards records, nor any record of the ship, or it’s construction whatsoever
* The construction materials are all made from minerals all available in our solar system, however the compounds, makeup and fusion of the materials are not known to us
* the ship itself has heat and radiation shields far beyond any current technology earth has, it can take an unknown amount of heat and radiation. Analysis is still being carried out
* The hull is massively armoured and appears to be able to sustain enormous external pressure far beyond current technology. This is unusual for a spaceship, more suited to a submarine.
* There are no known weapons on the ship.

* Apart from a few unknown technologies on the ship, most of the ships technology like radar, life support, sensors, thrusters etc are at current technology levels.
Scientists working with NASA's 230-foot-wide (70-meter) Deep Space Network antenna at Goldstone, California, have released the first radar images of asteroid 2004 BL86. The images show the asteroid, which made its closest approach today (Jan. 26, 2015) at 8:19 a.m. PST (11:19 a.m. EST) at a distance of about 745,000 miles (1.2 million kilometers, or 3.1 times the distance from Earth to the moon), has its own small moon.

My art picture above is showing on a planet a cool alien, a bird, a space ship and an asteroid.
Human is a biological machine with a computer and following some rules, but to know how human functions is more important than to know who we are.
Consciousness, critical thinking, society and feelings - emotions are the main components of our existence as a human being.
Just with society and feelings - emotions effects, we are like a sail boat ( without an engine and a rudder ) in ocean. Wind could blow us anywhere, to calm or to very wavy waters.
The other two components act like an engine and a rudder, giving us the direction where we want to sail. We don’t go to very wavy waters.
If we are not aware of our consciousness, we are lost in ocean. Noting can help us anymore.
How would aliens maneuver in their lives?
If we think of aliens who would able to travel to us, we will realize that they should be biologically very advance and have a very high science and technology knowledge. The condition and knowledge would probably help them to maneuver better than us in their lives.
Their engines and rudders should function perfectly. Their societies should have rooted out racism, nationalism and other social differences. The societies should also give aliens clear information what to do in their lives.
Their compensating feelings and emotions should be very strong, not allowing the bad feelings and emotions surge above the acceptable limits. Their dominating feelings and emotions should be positive.
We must be aware of how we function and try not to be an engineless and rudderless sailboat in our lives.
