Ask restaurant was formerly a bank and the curved wall of the building is adorned with some of the 32 caryatids, or armless ladies, which continue along the adjoining terrace of shops. They date from about 1840 and are loosely based on similar columns at the Acropolis in Athens. We are so used to them but they are really quite a sight to behold and something that shouldn’t be missed if visiting Cheltenham.

I asked this girl to keep a low profile for a few weeks while a few hawks are visiting for some autumn hunting. Her idea of keeping a low profile is sitting on top of a post surveying her domain. These hawks can't move along to a different location soon enough for me. I am now feeding the critters deep in the pines for their protection. This girl is way too brave and sassy for her own good.

#9 - Bell, 52 in 2015 Challenge
This is my last photo for the group, 52 in 2015 Challenge.

So I ask, where is Elvis (red-shouldered hawk)? There is a new Templeton (cotton rat) in the yard.
In this image, Templeton is beneath Robbie's feeding station in the picnic area. As he picked around at little things looking for fallen treats, Robbie (gray squirrel) was zipping across the Eastside fence line towards the feeding station. All the while, Howard and Marion and the other feathered visitors were making their way to the yard for the bird show. You can always hear when the show is about to begin.
Robbie reached the point on the fence where he likes to disembark and scurry to the feeding station. With a leap from the fence, he landed on the park grill then came to a complete and unexpected halt. He backed up a bit, lifted his head, and started looking at Templeton. Cautiously he lowered his head to get a closer look at Templeton and backed up once more. Then Robbie started looking back and forth between me and Templeton as if to say who is he and what is he doing here. All I could do was laugh at the spectacle.
A short while later with little or no notice of Robbie, Templeton scampered out of the area to one of the flowerbeds and began eating weeds. Go, Templeton, eat all of those you want. Robbie continued to the feeding station and began eating his treats.
Meanwhile, the birds' show had begun. Howard and Marion both having decided that Robbie's station is their favorite were moving ever closer to the area. Poor Robbie, his snack time was interrupted again as the cardinals began flying low over his head on a frequent basis and asking him to move along. Robbie did just that. Retracing his path Robbie scurried out of sight to the backyard neighbors; Leaving Howard and Marion to enjoy the treats.
Later that day, Templeton boldly ran across my foot. Apparently I was in the way as we were each going about our business. I was glad to have closed-toed shoes. Normally, I have on flip-flops when I am in the yard but when I do more intense yard work it's always closed-toed shoes.
Although I do appreciate the assistance with weed control in the yard, again I have to ask where is Elvis? Templeton is not excluded from the menu like the bluebirds are 😜.

My husband spotted this old timer as we drove through Buffalo, Missouri, and shouted out, “There’s an old Packard!” He knew I’d be interested because I actually used to have to drive one. My parents inherited one from a great uncle, a ‘51, and decided it would be a perfect second car for 2 teenagers to drive to school. I was the hit of all the drive in restaurants as I cruised through in the Gray Grub! Years later, on a visit home, I hopped into the relic, intending to drive a few blocks to a shopping center. Imagine my surprise when after backing down the driveway, I was totally unable to turn it...no power steering that I was now used to! My dad had to come out and drive it back into the garage....

My son and I are quite the team. For those of you who know Micah from my early Flickr days, he's now 14. A beautiful and growing teenager who has had challenges all his life with being diagnosed with severe autism and intellectual disability from a young age. Despite being non-verbal, he's always had a joyful spirit and loves with his whole heart. A few months ago my heart almost stopped as he begun having seizures. The first was the worst but he's continued to have many of what they call focal seizures since. He's started medication but they are not under control. I'm left trying to find help from hard to contact specialists and it makes me feel like I'm drowning some days because I don't know what else to do to help him. It seems so unfair. I want to rage but I feel sad. So asking for prayers, for him, for me, for a better balance of my spirit xx
Some times you just have to tell yourself whats the worst that can happen, they say no? Well on this night the answer was yes, mind you though I have known the guys here my entire life so it didn’t take too much arm twisting. I had asked a few months prior about doing a night photo shoot at GLC and it wasn't long before I had an answer of "yeah sure we can do that". The next few months just took a weekend where schedules worked out where I wasn't working and GLC wasn't using the power we wanted. GLC 382, 393 and 396 sit on A, B and C tracks outside the former Ann Arbor shops on a nice August night. Some locals with left over Forth of July fireworks gave us some ideas and after a little bit of time we ended up with what you see here.

"Time to see the place where I met Ilona" says Paddington
"That sounds very exciting!" Replies Frīda. " I guess it happened somewhere in gardens"
"Here you are wrong, Frīda! We met at Paddington!" Smiles Paddington
"How can it be?" Matilda wonders "Paddington in Paddington?"

Paddington is an area in the City of Westminster, in central London, England. A medieval parish then a metropolitan borough of the County of London, it was integrated with Westminster and Greater London in 1965. Paddington station, designed by the engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel opened in 1847.

Paddington Bear is a young bear, who can walk and talk, travels to London from the jungles of Peru. There, he is adopted by the Brown family. The Browns decided to name the new member of their family Paddington, after the place ( Paddington station) where he was found, although we later learn that in Peru Paddington was called Pastuso, after his uncle. When he was found, Paddington wasn't too sure how old he was so the Browns decided to start again at one.
