The oak tree on the Iron Age ramparts, Ham Hill Country Park, Somerset, on a frosty morning with light mist in the valley, in April 2020.
Well April has arrived with a real mixture of weather. So far here in West Wales we've had hail, rain, wind and this morning a flurry of snow but after all that the sun has made a welcome appearence reflecting off rain drops reflecting the world around.

The Northern Belle climbs towards Copy Pit with a York Appleby on a bright April Fool's morning. I gather this was to be steam hauled over the S&C later - but wasnt - April Fool for some.
April Showers bring May flowers, we are going to have lots of them because there has been a lot of rain, like this rain front coming in, shot in North Carolina.
..."April is the cruellest month,
breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land,
mixing
Memory and desire,
stirring
Dull roots with spring rain"...

During the Roman Republic, several dates were given for the founding of the city of Rome, between 753 BC and 728 BC.
(The Roman a.u.c. calendar, however, begins with Varro's dating of 753 BC.)
Although the proposed years varied, all versions agreed that the city was founded on April 21, the day of the festival sacred to Pales, goddess of shepherds; in her honour, Rome celebrated the Par ilia (or Palilia).
A MUST VIEWED LARGE!!
Believe it or not this was taken this morning at 6.45 over the Crayford Marshes close to home, fog in April never seen this type of weather at this time of year!
