46115 'Scots Guardsman' crests the summit at Ais Gil with a Carlisle to York tour on 17 September 2022. A very rare occasion for a morning southbound run.

Having got a cloudy shot of "British India Line" previously at the usual place at Ais Gill I decided to try something different from the side of the road .While waiting for the train there was no hope of any sun then about two minutes before 35018 arrived the clouds parted and bingo I had cracked it but not in the main position.Two photographers at the line side have been removed in PS.

one of many views taken in rapid succession as 61994 the great marquess appears at ais gill summit with a felsman

West Coast Railway's Royal Scot Class No.46115 'Scots Guardsman' is seen in the evening sunshine at Ais Gill with the returning Dalesman, 1Z64 Carlisle to York.

Justo parece el primero que aboga por su causa;

Pero viene su adversario, y le descubre.

A vibrant tendril spirals through a bold, colorful reality.

Colas Rail Class 70 No.70814 is seen powering through Ais Gill with 6J37 Carlisle Yard - Chirk Kronospan loaded logs train.

Taken on the 28th August 2021.

Assynt, Sutherland, Scotland. The light was giving a strange yellow glow all that day.

In pouring rain, LNER Gresley K4 2-6-0 No 61994 'The Great Marquess', approaches the summit at Ais Gill with the southbound 'Fellsman'.

4th April 1998 and 6024 struggles up the final section to Ais Gill summit. I decided to mend this negative, it was very damaged , as upon second look I like the man with the child and the people looking out of the windows as well as the line of cars in the distance. Yup it is a grainy as they come but for me it sums up the mood and thought of the struggle.
