What if they were to create a fake pariah that could provide lavish lifestyles for a few individuals, fund their large organizations, open the door to astronomical litigation, be used by both Governments to gain large and excessive Federal and Provincial tax revenue, provide a lucrative source for charitable donations and pathway to Government grant funding, serve as the scapegoat for many common illnesses that exist in society today, take the blame for increased health care costs, and provide a smoke screen that would distract from, hide or deflect the attention away from the phenomenal growth and unprecedented expansion in the gambling, alcohol and marijuana industries ? Oh what a handy tool that would be to have around ?

Tobacco :
A highly disproportionate Government taxation is forced on purchasers of a singled out long time publicly sold legal product ? Tobacco users must now pay the equivalent of over 4 times the amount of Government sin tax on their product as do the users of alcohol pay on their product even though stats show that alcohol use ranks twice as much in cost to society due to substance use as does tobacco ? www.flickr.com/photos/74039487@N02/52649460406/in/datepos...

A stifling, superfluous, unimaginable shocking Sin Tax on cigarettes ? The Maders street window in downtown Kentville is allowed to display Government gambling ads but not the product he's been selling for 50 years, and so he has instead revealed the huge Government Sin Tax currently being charged to the customer on his purchases of tobacco ? He was later ordered to take it down.. www.flickr.com/photos/74039487@N02/9344935900
When legally purchasing a tobacco product you are now charged a Government Sin Tax at a proportional rate equivalent to over 4 times more to that charged on alcohol even though the alcohol product is far more destructive and far more costly to society ? The extreme bias and obvious discrimination against this one singled out legal product is the direct result of years of one-sided single product only Government lobbying by those who despise smoking but do not appear to have a problem with any of the other more harmful bad habits such as smoking marijuana, alcohol, junk food, obesity, or gambling ? Over the years there has been a lot of misinformation and gaslighting submitted by radical tobacco haters in order to stack their extremely biased arguments against one particular legally sold product that they don't like ? This single product lobby has resulted in a severe over-taxation now being levied on the unfortunate paying customer ? Does this extremely unfair Sin Tax situation caused by biased and unproven radical theories constitute a form of harassment and consumer fraud against an honest paying customer ? A Class action tax recovery suit and application for a fair share of the recent 24 billion dollar tobacco reclamation suit to be returned to the customer is being considered to compensate consumers for their financial loss due to extreme over taxation charges ? www.flickr.com/photos/74039487@N02/52649460406/in/datepos...
August 16, 2023 - Unfortunately, cancer diagnosis rates are going way up in a new generation ? May 13, 2024 - May 13, 2024 - Many Smokers have quit yet while the number of persons actually smoking keeps going down - cancer rates blamed on smokers keeps going up ? Monday's issue of the Canadian Medical Association Journal says Cancer is still your leading cause of premature death in Canada. Stats Canada data says it has accounted for 25 per cent of the deaths in 2022, however more people than ever are now surviving. Sept 4th, 2023 - A tenacious, well funded, well-organized biased and somewhat radical anti tobacco lobbying campaign with its focus always on tobacco products only appears to have failed miserably in its promise of reducing heart and lung disease ? May 31, 2023 - Canada has created a brand new Cabinet position called Minister of health and Addictions, and Carolyn Bennett has started off with yet another repeated attack on tobacco by ordering that 50 additional dire warning messages ( 25 in French and 25 in English) must be placed on or within the cigarette package that is already overcrowded with many dire warnings and graphic pictures ? This is getting interesting ? First they favor alcohol products by giving them a generous 4 times the Sin Tax break over tobacco products, and then they create and pass legislation that legalizes and enables smoking cannabis, and then they create more legislation in Bill C-218 that will open the flood gates to enable legal at home and mobile phone sports parlor betting and casino gambling as never before seen or imagined in Canada - And then after aiding, abetting and enabling all of these social vices through new Liberal legalization, they will then create a Cabinet position called the Minister of mental health and addictions, and her first order of business is to once again go after tobacco while ignoring and never mentioning sports parlor betting, on-line gambling, marijuana or alcohol ?

Ottawa May 31, 2023 - Canada has made history, (and Guinness book of records) ? The Canadian Government has ordered that 50 dire warnings be placed on or inside cigarette packages already 75% covered with multiple warnings and graphic images and must always be hidden away from public view in drawers in stores ? Meanwhile the number 50 also just happens to be the same number of new at-home on-line gambling las vegas style gambling casinos and sports betting parlors that have quickly opened for business in Canada following this same Liberal Government's recently enacted Bill C-218 ?

Each year the Province of Nova Scotia publishes an official Government financial statement showing tax revenue collected from sales of Sin Tax legal adult recreational products. The Sin Tax products listed are : alcohol ( NSLC sales ), tobacco, gambling (Atlantic lotto/casino), and, now Cannabis (NSLC ) ? 'Why don't we just blame everything on smoking ? '
Stats Can, October 16, 2017 - The Conference Board of Canada says that although actual smokers have decreased dramatically in numbers, deaths and health care costs attributed to smoking are still increasing dramatically ? They explain that the reason for the unusual paradox may lie in the way they compute statistics . The calculations include all lifetime sickness and negative health problems (both physical and mental) ever incurred by the smoker in their entire lifetime even if they quit and were a non smoker ? And so, even if you smoked at one time or another in life and then quit, all health issues and illnesses experienced over your entire lifetime will be blamed by them on smoking and seen by them as being caused by smoking ? And so, for example, If an ex smoker dies naturally at say age 80, his death and all of his lifetime sickness and negative medical issues even if a non smoker for 50 years are counted by them as caused by smoking ? www.cbc.ca/news/business/smoking-economic-cost-1.4357096

Oxycontin is an addictive drug despite being in the prescription category. Many people get addicted unknowingly due to continued use or abuse. Learn more about being torelant and how to deal with pain beyond the addiction phase.
These were addictive! I made them with a mix of stuff I had around the house. The trick was to make a really thick marinade/batter to massage on them... it dried really crunchy, not flakey. Here's what went into them (all blended in my BlendTec): pumpkin seeds, tahini, coconut amino acids, pinch of sea salt, chipotle powder, raw garlic, meat and water from one coconut, three dried apricots (didn't have any dates), handful of sundried tomatoes, 1 red pepper, 1 large red tomato, 1/3 cup of red onion... I think that's all!
This is actually addictive and super healthy. It's basically olive oil, onions, celery, carrots, broccoli, potato, silken tofu, vegetable broth, salt and pepper. I cook the veggies, mash them, run a stick blender through it and it's soup.

Maders Tobacconist 50th anniversary in 2026
A sign in Maders downtown Kentville warns the smoking public of an unimaginable and hard-to-believe government tax now levied on those who come in to purchase smokes.. This tax works out to be about 75% of the total price ? This shockingly superfluous Sin Tax is surely the largest monetary tax penalty ever imposed on any small group of Canadian citizens ? And when compared to the tax charged on alcohol, the cigarette sin tax equates to over four times higher than the alcohol drinkers are levied for their product ? Wow ? This enormous difference in treatment seems to have been targeted and is extremely biased ? But wait a minute now, maybe the Government should think a bit more before using taxation as a weapon to hurt purchasers because the strategy could backfire on them when the targetted product becomes so artificially infated in price that itl creates and encourages criminal activity such as robberies, smuggling and other illegal ways to procure a precious product that has only been made so because of a man-made ridiculous super Sin Tax ? And by gouging customers with exorbitant taxation the price of the product could become unaffordable and force honest tobacco clients to sidestep the tobacconist shop and either go to the bootlegger or purchase tax free discount Indian cigarettes down at the local reserve ?
Fast-forward to 2022 - For many years now the hardworking law-abiding smoking public has found itself squarely in the cross hairs of a well organized, well funded, powerful and influential anti tobacco Lobbyist campaign led by a few very biased and tenacious radical tobacco haters. And so now it seems citizens have all but lost a long time freedom and a constitutional right to legally purchase a legal product that has been around forever and a part of our society since the time of Sir Walter Raleigh ? However, an aggressive, never-ending attack focused on one particular product that a few radicals are against, was launched years ago and has all but removed a freedom previously taken for granted ? The decades old lobby has no doubt provided lobbyists with salaries and funded their large organizations ? And so, keeping this in mind, the tobacco lobbyists will, of course, want to keep it rolling right along for as long as possible to maintain this profitable occupation and lucrative industry ?
And not to be remiss, it is also true that such an intense long running lobby has no doubt succeeded in forcing many smokers to either cut down or to quit , ( mainly due to the high cost), however many smokers would have done so voluntarily in due course and on their own without the purging ?
Sept 4 2023 - Smoking and number of smokers has gone way down however, cancer rates have gone way up in our young people ? Reported cases of cancer have soared 79% globally amongst young adults over the past 3 decades, although it is now a generation made up of far fewer smokers ? And so it seems that the anti tobacco lobbyists who aim their attack solely at smoking only and their promise that they will reduce and even end the scourge of respiratory illnesses isn't working out too well for them ? And , while on their watch and during their intense lobby campaign, that the local healthcare services and ER units have never been so overwhelmed with patients, ( mostly non-smokers) with many of them suffering from respiratory illnesses ? The Minister of Health recently stated that 46,000 yearly deaths were related to smoking in 2022 . This is a 30% increase in deaths even though there are far fewer smokers in 2022 smoking far fewer cigarettes ? But, perhaps even more worrisome than these false statistics, is that while all the blame is always primarily focused on tobacco, meanwhile corporations and main media continue to advertise, promote, encourage and enable participation in the other potentially harmful social recreational Sin Tax products like alcohol, marijuana, sports parlor betting, casino gambling, fast food, junk foods, obesity and diabetes causing products ? And so aided by this support and encouragement participation increases and we are now seeing tremendous growth ? However, because of the phenomenol growth and massive expansion in a wide open Renaissance period of enlargement and prosperity, unfortunately an increase in the consumption of alcohol, sports betting, E casino gambling and marijuana will no doubt require a need for far more social services to provide the added hospital, health and welfare benefits especially in the youth ?
Hurrah, it's finally coffee time, (aka smoke break)
Many workers find the use of tobacco products at their entitled work break to be a rewarding experience that can also be stress relieving, calming and relaxing ? However, these mow segregated workers are forced to endure discrimination and dehumanizing treatment such as having to go without a break or having to go outside in cold Winter weather, or having to walk far distances away from buildings in a 10-minute break ? And since tobacco is no longer allowed in most workplaces, it is interesting to note that we are seeing dramatic increases in nervous-related and stress-caused mental health problems, and there's never been so much employee sick time taken off work ? This crisis comes when there has never been a greater need for qualified workers, and many of these much-needed, hardworking and fully trained people are refusing to take on certain jobs because they are unable to smoke during break time ?
And it's become a safety concern when some individuals indoctrinated by cigarette smoke psychological gaslighting have become more afraid of a smokers used cigarette smoke than they are of deadly carbon monoxide exhaust fumes from cars ? And there are reports of pedestrians including women holding young children by the hand leaving the sidewalk and wandering dangerously out into traffic in order to avoid passing near someone who happens to be legally smoking outdoors ?
And how do you explain a situation in Canada today where you can legally smoke small amounts of hard illegal drugs like crack on the streets of Vancouver, but it's against the law to light up a cigarette on that same street ? Perhaps it would be better just to let them have the cigarettes ?
Trying to figure out the figures :
The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society claim that 10s of thousands of Canadians are dying each year from smoking related causes ? But as the years pass by and people quit smoking, the grim numbers never ever seem to go down and In fact, although everyone is quitting smoking these days the lobbyers numbers seem to be going up instead of down ? And in 2023 with only 12 percent of the people left smoking, Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said "tobacco use continues to be one of the leading causes of preventable disease and premature death in Canada, killing 46,000 Canadians each year " ? But 10 years ago when 23 % of the people smoked, they reported 36,000 deaths but they are reporting 46,000 ? This works out to an increase of 10,000 deaths, while the actual number of smokers has gone down in half from 23 % to 12.5 % in the last 10 years ? And so they're apparently claiming that there were 30 % more smoking related deaths in 2022 caused by 1/2 the number of smokers ? This doesn't make sense ?
Here are some relevant news clippings :

Figures now show that after many years of a strategy that had focused mainly on tobacco, that on their watch while instead of the cancer rates going down as they promised, cancer numbers have instead soared upwards especially among young adults who are mostly non smokers ?

For years now cancer societies have directed their energy and their primary focus of attack on tobacco products only ? While the ongoing attack has always been against a singled-out lone product, the incidence of cancer has been on the rise as never before among young adults ? Has this blinkers on focused strategy distracted from, or even prevented the discovery of the real cause or causes of all these cancers ? If it isn't smoking, then what is it and why aren't they getting warning labels on whatever it is ?

'Why not just blame everything on smoking ?
