Acer pseudoplatanus, known as the sycamore in the British Isles and as the sycamore maple in the United States,[3] is a species of flowering plant in the soapberry and lychee family Sapindaceae. It is a large deciduous, broad-leaved tree, tolerant of wind and coastal exposure. It is native to Central Europe and Western Asia, from France eastward to Ukraine, northern Turkey and the Caucasus and southward in the mountains of Italy and northern Iberia.
"Such a hand is said to have been held by Old West folk hero, lawman, and gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok when he was murdered. No contemporaneous source records this hand's exact cards, but Frank Wilstach's 1926 book Wild Bill Hickok: The Prince of Pistoleers led to the popular modern conception of the "dead man's hand" as containing pairs of black aces and black eights. In Hickok's case these would have been combined with an unknown hole card."

Die EVER ACE (IMO: 9893890), das zur Zeit größte Container Schiff der Welt auf der Elbe beim Erstanlauf in den Hamburger Hafen. 400 m lang und 62 m breit. 23.992 Standardcontainer (TEU) passen auf diesen Giganten der Meere.
Es wurde begleitet von dem Hamburger Feuerwehrboot "Brandmeister Krüger".

Acers are one of my favourite trees. They have so much interest from the shape of the leaves to the wonderful changes colours through the seasons. I captured these ones during Spring as they were on the turn to their Summer colour

It is that time of the year that the Acer having sat in the corner between the house and the fence turns it's leaves from green to a bright orange /red before throwing them all on the floor !!
Acer Palmatum or Japanese Maple is sometimes described as a tree and sometimes as a shrub/plant - to me they are small trees albeit ones like this a semi Bonsai Tree . This one may be in a pot but it has a place in the garden ( but not where the photo is taken ) . I have always liked to see Bonsai Trees , but their care can be challenging which is why I tried collecting Cacti & Succulents instead for quite a few years .
