Meant to post this on Monday to mark the anniversary, but had a migraine so spent whole evening in a dark room avoiding any light. Anyway, here it is.
On November 14th 1971 NASA's Mariner 9 reached Mars, becoming the first spacecraft to orbit another planet. After dust storms that lasted several months following its arrival, the orbiter managed to send back clear pictures of the surface. Mariner 9 successfully returned 7,329 images over the course of its mission, which concluded in October 1972.

This bus had me on the rounds today, when i reached to Aldwych it was curtailed to Palace Gate and then to Piccadilly Circus.

This was the 09-44 Doncaster Up decoy to Millerhill SS working.
I had last photographed the "Robin Of Templecomb " nameplates carried by 56049 when they were formerly attached to 47739.
