The trees are reflected on one side and actual trees on the other side, makes it look a bit transparent, I think.

Looking out into the open Pacific Ocean (Monterey Bay) on this beautiful, bright and sunny afternoon. Gotta love this view... This was during my solo sunset getaway at Salinas River State Beach in Moss Landing, CA. This was another one of my spontaneous outings. I’ve been wanting to see the sunset by the sea for so long and I have waited until it was clear along the coast (as well as my day off of work) to go… I left San Jose around 3:30 p.m. and arrived to the location just before 5 p.m. (some traffic was seen along the way). I then walked to the beach and found my spot. A few people were fishing in the area, but overall, not that busy which I like. I then just chilled, took in the sights and breathed in the fresh sea breeze as I waited for the sun to slowly set over the vast Pacific, or Monterey Bay… I then went back to the car around 7 p.m. after the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. Gotta love a nice beach escape! ‘Til next time, safe travels! (Wednesday, September 29, 2021; 5:58 p.m.)
*A bit about this beach: Salinas River State Beach is a beach at the river mouth of the Salinas River in Monterey County. It is located at the south end of Moss Landing, CA. The park can be accessed from the Potrero exit off of Highway 1 in Moss Landing. The beach and dunes here are part of Monterey Bay’s unique coastal dune system and it is home to many species of birds. The beach is a popular fishing site. Horseback riding tours are also available at this location. And if you are hungry, Phil’s Fish Market is just a very short drive from the beach…
