This week's weekly Clone Pic is dedicated to those who lost their lives and loved ones on 9/11. It killed thousands of people and affected millions. I salute those who gave their lives to stop the terrorist attack.

He was strolling at a leisurely pace along orchard road when I spotted him. The very first thing I noticed was the symmetry on his face.

This is 9/100 photograph of my 100 Strangers. As part of this project, I will photograph strangers with their consent. I aspire to photograph a diverse group of people who I see in the streets of Singapore.

All photographs will be processed to black and white .

lamp containing two rotating films inside it. the inner (opaque) film depicts the pre 9/11 skyline of new york city while the transparent outer one has a number of helicopters, boats, paragliders and one passenger jet imprinted on it. the films rotate at different speeds and every 2 minutes or so the passenger jet seems to fly into the twin towers (actually it passes in front of them).

Project Runway Jewelry Challenge, Season 9, episode 1

Come as you are; EtsyMetal Interpretation - the challenge this week is to make something only from material that is sitting on your bench!

I used a blue lace agate druzy cab and the 22 gauge sheet silver from my bench. I added a bit of tubing from my scrap jar and fine silver bezel wire, which I cut in scallops, and a sterling neck wire.

Egypt - Cairo - 9/8/2013 The two main Brotherhood sit-ins continue to block the Rabaa Al-Adawiya crosspoint in Nasr City and Al-Nahda Square in Giza - the Muslim Brotherhood continues to reject the army-backed roadmap and with negotiations reaching a deadlock, the coming phase of Egypt’s political development remains foggy.

Steam Engine No. 9

Joining the Loop roster in 2006! Built in 1884, Colorado & Southern Engine No. 9 was used extensively throughout Colorado’s narrow gauge system, including the Georgetown Loop. It operated as both freight and passenger, bringing the last passenger train from Leadville to Denver in 1937. The locomotive was exhibited at the 1939 World’s Fair in New York City and at the 1948-49 Chicago Railroad Fair. It was stored for a time in Illinois and displayed at the Black Hills Central excursion railroad from1957 to 1988. The Colorado Historical Society purchased the No. 9 in 1988 and brought her home.

The total haul. Soul Calibur, the substandard Sonic game, an additional controller, a VMU, and the Dreamcast itself. So that's about $350.

While out looking for interesting people to meet and photograph, I’d stopped to take a few shots of some young Hare Krishna devotees chanting on a busy downtown corner. When I put the camera down, Sam was right by my side. He had a spiritual agenda which I didn’t share in that moment, but he was entirely gracious and friendly when that was made clear. We did share in interest in spiritual traditions and had a lovely conversation in the afternoon sun about the similarities in Sufi, Kabbalah, Christian, and Hindu mysticism. I was familiar with the outline of the Bhagavad Gita and had attended a couple of Kirtan events some years ago, the Hare Krishna practice of chanting prayers, praises, and the names of God.

Sam hails from Toronto and like many people, believes that the saving of the world (from ourselves) will be a spiritual transformation first - followed by the political, ecological, and social. In that order. Hard to argue with that! He’s been to many cities trying to share his passion for God and really likes Denver. I had to agree with him there too!

Sam immediately agreed to let me take his picture and I really wanted to capture the sense of peace and purpose that I felt from him, peace that was not without complexity and worldly knowledge. I took a couple of shots from different angles but I knew instantly when I took the picture I would use. This is it. Meet Sam.

Post processing I added just a bit more light and slightly turned up the shadows. I’m quite happy with the result and have a fine memory of meeting this young man. Very much enjoying the 100 Strangers project!

I fired up another timelapse when I got home around 4am. The stars were still shooting, but I think more light pollution made them seem shorter and dimmer. I wasn't quite sure where to point my camera either. The internet told me to look east, in the general direction of Orion's belt. By this time it seemed to be more westward. So this one is looking west.

Right way down.

Sometimes, you have to look at things from the "wrong" way to understand them.
