Seen in Stockwell garage on their open day is newly restored B2737 (LH8186) showing a destination for route 9 to Liverpool Street.
For Alan No. 2. Two Phase 1 9s in the same day is pretty good going - we wouldn't be seeing stuff like this on the autoroutes...

A quick snap from last night, as we had friends over and I'm busy preparing an application for a new job. It's all very exciting and frantic and I HAVE NO TIME! Agh! If this job comes off though, it'll be SO worth it.
I've always wanted to take a picture of a tent with a strobe in it at dawn. Now that I think about it, I probably should have been in it to make the shot more interesting.
We wanted to set up camp near the sand dunes but by the time we got to the area it was pitch dark, so we couldn't see where they were. We drove off the main road and pitched our tents near where the sign was.

I feel like my best 9 really represent Frappzilla as a brand.
Fun, Playful, Bright. Little bit different and odd.
But I'm really aware that since 2017 was such a rough patch for me, that I didn't actually achieve that solid branding that I always aspire to have. I'm going to work much harder at it this year but I'm so happy that the most popular photos are the ones that I feel reflect Frappzilla the best.
I know i immediately fell off the 365, the second I got on but I've been so unwell this past week and I got a lot worse before I felt better. Today was a good solid first day back to work and I'm feeling tons better now so I'll get back on that horse tomorrow and keep posting my 365.
I'm in a really good place mentally right now. I'm in a really creative state of mind with a lot of character design and wig ideas on the brain. Although I spent it being really poorly, I feel like the few days I've had off to rest and repair have really helped bring that out of me. I'm feeling really recharged and ready to jump into all of the preorders. I'm determined to make it the best one yet!

I walked to the Brooklyn promenade last night to look at the lights, which are still my favorite tribute to that day. Somehow they seem to have a ephemeral, poetic justice that a building can never have. Especially the “inventive” specimens proposed by over inventive architectural firms.

FDNY Engine 6 sits on display at the NY State museum in Albany. The truck was one of the first on the scene, and was destroyed when the towers collapsed. Four of the five firefighters assigned to the truck that day died. The truck was recovered from the debris, and put on dislay as part of the museum's 9-11 exhibit.
Day 9. Aww we had a great day today, we went out to Marlay Park in Rathfarnham and we must have spent two hours just wandering round the woods on the hiking trail there. The sun kept coming and going all day, but when it was out it was glorious. Went down to the canal and walked from Rathmines bridge down to Ranelagh bridge, then down to Leeson Street bridge (actually not far at all), and back up again. Spent all day just shooting with the iPhone, but when the sun was out managed to get a couple of shots on the Diana+ too.

The Fiat X1/9 is a two-seater mid-engined sports car designed by Bertone and manufactured by Fiat from 1972-1982 and subsequently by Bertone from 1982-1989.
With a transverse engine and gearbox in a mid-mounted, rear-wheel drive configuration, the X1/9 was noted for its excellent handling, lightweight-removable hardtop, front and rear-storage compartments — and for being designed from its conception to meet the late 60s U.S. safety regulations.
History and packaging:
The X1/9 succeeded a 1969 show concept car called the Autobianchi Runabout, with styling by Bertone under chief designer Marcello Gandini. The Runabout was powered by the engine of the Autobianchi A112.
Designed around the all-new 128 SOHC engine and gearbox (transmission) from the front wheel drive Fiat 128, the X1/9 relocated the transverse drive train and suspension assembly from the front of the 128 to the rear of the passenger cabin, directly in front of the rear axle, giving a mid-engined layout. The layout also located the fuel tank and spare wheel side by side ahead of the engine, directly behind the seats — optimizing the proportion of the car's weight falling within its wheelbase for more effective handling and also enabling cargo areas front and rear.
Fiat began marketing a right-hand drive variant in 1976.
Unlike Fiat's marketing nomenclature at the time which used a numerical system (e.g., 127, 128, 124, 131) denoting relative position in the model range, the X1/9 retained its prototype code as its marketing name. Fiat's prototype coding used X0 for engines, X1 for passenger vehicles and X2 for commercial vehicles. The X1/9 was thus the ninth passenger car developed using the nomenclature.
Concept car:
The prototype car featured a distinctive wedge shape and took many styling cues from contemporary power-boat design. Though the more extreme features of the Runabout such as the C pillar mounted headlights and the small wind-deflector windscreen were lost for the production car, many aesthetic features of the Autobianchi Runabout are readily identifiable on the X1/9. The long flat bonnet (hood) with central indentation, the large front overhang, the wedge shape with prominent C pillar roll-over hoop and the car-length indented plimsoll-line all made the successful transition to the X1/9, giving it a highly distinctive appearance.
Once developed for production, the two-seater featured sharp-edged styling with a wedge shape, pop-up headlights and a removable hard top roof panel (targa top). The removable hardtop stores in the front luggage compartment, below the front hood, only slightly reducing the space available for cargo. An aftermarket company offered a top made of lightweight clear-smoked polycarbonate.

For me, this is 1972.
