It doesn’t look like much but boy does it hurt. We actually accomplished so much today. Things that have been on the back burner for so long. Steve traced the landscaping wire and found a break in the line. So now all the landscape lights work. We also cut out a couple tree bushes that had crunched our tree irrigation. Repaired the crunch so now all the trees on the mountain can get watered. AND we dug deeper moats so the water stays put. Very accomplished but very tired.
This baby girl belongs to my very good friend, I can't get over how adorable she is! She did NOT want to sleep though, so I didn't get many shots.

"La Gran Milonga Nacional", an open air event with live orchestras and street tango dancing along Avenida de Mayo, which is transformed for one night into a giant dance floor, will take place on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016.
This fantastic event, which every year occupies the traditional Avenida de Mayo, from Plaza de Mayo to 9 de Julio Av. is organized by the National Tango Academy and the Association of Promoters of Tourism, Hotel Business and Gastronomy (APTHGRA), in honor of the National Tango Day which is celebrated on December 11th.
La Gran Milonga Nacional will start at 8:00 pm, and will last until 3 am, with three central stages in the corners of Avenida de Mayo with Bernardo de Irigoyen, Piedras and Perú, and other smaller ones along the avenue, where the audience will be able to dance on the street to the music of live Tango orchestras, with their dancers and singers.

The X1/9 is one of those cars that has managed to elude my camera on countless occasions, despite me having seen quite a few of them over the years. This was one of several X1/9s at Carlisle this year.

The motion blur demonstrates the energy he is using to get his message across. The focus is on the sign in the background which expresses in written form this man’s diatribe.
my husband's birthday. it can be hard to think about one birthday right after the next. in fact, it stresses me out and he always gets "shafted". we opted for a fabulous meal at home. yummy beer, cheese/crackers, and salmon. cheesecake for dessert.
this man i married. i am so blessed. here he is with our kids, working on "birthday card puzzles". they are like this with him. all over him. he is this kind of dad.... ok with that and so involved in their lives.

the instructor we worked with during training said Augie had the best play bow she'd ever seen. even so, she's still got "the eye". especially when I have Ducky as my P.A.
this shot is more in the direction I wanted to go last time, with more of a dark background and some selective light; and I took a bit more time with this week, having just gotten a new toy critical piece of photographic equipment: a 10 meter ETTL extension cord, for those times when I just want to have more control over the flash at a distance.
Augie was pretty good about it, too, as my dark fleece blanket backdrop is fairly narrow, and so she's posed on one of our chairs. we used Ducky to try some action/catch shots, but I couldn't move back far enough with my 35mm lens, and then she kept going into her bow between tosses, so I focused more on that.
technicals:
I put a snoot on the (Canon 430EX) flash and mounted it overhead angled towards Augie's head, and used the ETTL flash metering, which worked well to keep the background dark and not blow a huge flood of light over everything. I like the lines I got out of this lighting and pose, and the catchlights from the windows that showed up despite the flash and the high shutter speed (1/640).
