I ran across this photo and just HAD to feature it on my page. I did NOT take this photo, I only edited the photo by turning it into black and white. I think sometimes.. actually, most of the time.. black and white photos can be much more dynamic, and make and amazing impact on the viewer, because most of us see in color. The color can be distractive to the eyes... taking away from the inherent reason or meaning of the photo. This is why I chose this photo. I knew that by turning it into black and white, would bring out more feeling and intensity of the horrific day we all globally experienced.. 9/11/01.
Cheers to the photographer for keeping his cool while watching this unfold in front of him.

I met Shawntrice, who works at Magnolia Bakery in Chicago a few weeks ago. When I asked to photograph her, she happily agreed to let me. I just sent the photo to Magnolia Bakery to give her a copy. Hope she likes it :) By the way the pastries at Magnolia are delicious!

I had a vision of this photo in Malibu, at Pepperdine amongst the 9/11 memorial flags. Things did not go as envisioned/planned. Never the less, we ceased the moment when we noticed the amazing sunset tonight.
