The Sd.Kfz. 9 was the heaviest halftrack developed by Germany in World War Two. Its large size enabled it to be used as a prime mover for Germany's largest towed weapons, as well as a tank recovery vehicle. Approximately 2,500 Sd.Kfz. 9s were produced.
Features working suspension and steering :-)
Just slowly updating old pictures by taking new ones with the new camera.
While there have been a lot of notable steam locomotives restored to service in the last decade, for my money none of them are as pretty as Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway 0-4-4T No. 9 (formally Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes No. 6). Locomotive No. 9 is seen storming out of the Sheepscot Yard on Jan. 9, 2021.
New computer is great but now I am having problems with the upgrade of GIMP and Pisca actually changing the photos in my file on the computer. The changes show up in each of the programs but the photo in the file is not changed like before. Any thoughts???? PROBLEMS SOLVED!!!!!
Went to the local photoclub - been a while since I went along. We had 3 ballet dancers to photograph they had various different poses, did get some shots of them standing up but I preferred this one especially in BW which I don't tend to do enough.

Went exploring Brussels today with a friend and Louise, as I don't really know Brussels all that well even though I've been living here for a couple of years now. I know certain places that hold a special meaning to me, but visiting the Kunstberg for instance, was a first. :)
the light is changing so much... light in some of my favorite places returning. the days shortening, the softer light filtering into our windows and doors in a different way. i notice this, among the busy of the day.... working more than part time at the moment.
The supernova remnant SNR G206.9+2.3 in the constellation is a rarely photographed object in the constellation Monoceros. This is actually surprising, since it fits comfortably on an APS-C sensor with moderate telescope focal lengths and also has a passable brightness in the O[III] and H-alpha bands.
SNR G206.9+2.3 shows a beautiful filamentary structure of shells of O[III] and H-alpha. I gave it the name "Phacobs Nebula" because its external shape is very similar to the famous fossil trilobite of the genus of the same name.
The object is quite low in the sky here and lies most of the time in the light dome of the Ruhr industrial zone. The image was taken in 3 nights with 2 parallel mounted refractors (480/f6 and 740/f5). The data was preprocessed in Astro Pixel Processor and then further processed in PixInsight and Photoshop.
