I'm trying out a modified version of the classic Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe + some techniques from the New York Times recipe like leaving the dough to sit and sea salt.

Tja, wenn ich so alte Burgen und Schlösser sehe, wie hier Schloss Anholt, dann gehe ich gern mal ganz kindlich auf Fantasiereise. Ich stelle mir vor, wie es wäre in solch alten Mauern zu leben, morgens mit den Hunden durch den Park zu laufen, im Garten einen schönen Strauß von Rosen zu schneiden oder Weihnachten im großen Saal zu feiern. Filmreif? Ja vielleicht. Kitschig? Auf jeden Fall!

Ok now this was much easier than I originally anticipated. Had the camera on the tripod and put it in continuas shooting mode. The focus was set to manual so there was no focus acquiring delay between the shots. Opened the first two images in Photoshop. Selected the second image (cntr+c or command+c in mac) and pasted it on top of the first one. Then went to the layers menu and selected "hide all". After that I used the brush tool to reveal the second image and the first one stayed the way it was. Repeated this step for the rest of the 7 images.

At 9:37 a.m. today Friday, June 28, 2019, as part of the demolition of the remains of the Morandi Bridge, were collapsed stacks 10 and 11 of the structure still standing after the disaster of August 14, 2018. The operation wascarried out by culling structures with the use of dynamite and plastic. This final phase completed with masterful perfection is very delicate.
I have decided not to return to the scene, adhering to the authorities' call to minimise traffic and chaos in the surrounding area. I propose some images taken from the live broadcast of Primocanale, a leading broadcaster in Genoa.

Ore 9:37 di oggi Venerdi 28 giugno 2019 nell'ambito dei lavori di demolizione dei resti del ponte Morandi sono state fatte collassare le pile 10 e 11 della struttura ancora in piedi dopo il disastro del 14 agosto 2018. L'operazione, è stata eseguita mediante abbattimento delle strutture con uso di dinamite e plastico. Delicatissima questa fase finale portata a termine con magistrale perfezione.
Ho deciso di non riprendere sul posto la scena aderendo all'invito delle autorità volto a ridurre al minimo il traffico e caos nell'area circostante. Propongo alcune immagini tratte dalla diretta di Primocanale, emittente di primo piano a Genova.

Desde a época que eu não era viciada por esmaltes ele já estava na caixa :D E ele ficou mais esquecido ainda depois que minha irmã usou e disse que ele era grosso e encheu de bolinhas e blá. Mas eu resolvi que era a hora dele! Ele não tava grosso e nem nada ¬¬'' Tava bonzinho e foi uma alegria :D Usei duas camadas ♥ E passei o Disco Ball pra ficar ainda mais delicadinho ^-^

Deciding what to wear to my tutoring job is always a bit of a balancing act. It's a college campus, where casual-to-sloppy attire is de rigueur. But it's a college campus, which I think requires a certain formality, at least for the educators (sadly, the teachers are oftentimes as uncaring as the students in what they wear...but I'm from a very different era. )
So this was my choice for the high wire a few days ago. A denim skirt, kind of casual, but a nice top and pendant and, of course, my favorite kitten heels.
I doubt anyone noticed, much less cared, but standards are standards, and they're there for a reason.
But...well, full disclosure: I have to admit that I knew that I would be posting these photos here on Flickr, and my legs always garner nice comments. So I'm not altogether altruistic; a healthy dose of vanity went into the outfit too!
I haven't made these five ingredient gluten free bagels in a REALLY long time, but I finally got rid of the 3-year-expired baking powder that I had been using and made a fresh batch with a new can and I admittedly can't wait to eat breakfast this week...
