C’est impossible...
Depuis combien de temps, suis-je mort ?
D’ailleurs, cette question à quoi bon ?
Pourquoi mon corps, là en abandon ?
Mon sort en raison d’oxymore…
Comment mort puis-je encore penser ?
La raison de la mort est la fin…
Et moi là, non ! Même aux confins.
Je ne suis pas en sérénité…
Mon âme, ce n’est pas possible,
Même de mon vivant pas de dieu,
Alors pourquoi cogiter, penser pardieu !
Même mort, je suis ! C’est impossible…
Pourtant tout est noir dans mon état,
Je ne vois plus rien de ce monde,
Je n’entends plus nul bruit qui gronde,
C’est un bien inconvenant trépas.
Déjà vivant j’étais prisonnier,
Du temps, des gens, des rêves perdus…
Ici éteint, je suis éperdu,
De peur, l’esprit, le cœur emmuré…

I ache all over..spending so much time on laptop these past few days trying to find and edit all the winter photos that could be used in a Christmas story. Just had to take a short break to post a new one..i made the little snow-blower last Sunday and was thrilled when we had a few cms of snow Wednesday morning just in time for a few photos!
Op 24 mei 2022 reed NS 8701 weer eens wat slagen Enschede-Den Haag CS v.v.
Het is een van de laatste onverbouwde VIRM's en ik heb ook altijd wel een zwak voor de eerste uit een serie, hier dus de 01 uit de 8700-serie.
De trein passeert hier Loo tussen Deventer en Holten als trein 1629 en ik heb me laten vertellen dat het ook een van de laatste stellen is met asbakjes. Maar dat zie je natuurlijk niet aan de buitenkant.
And now begins the DSLR era of my Diesel Days project. In July 2008, I bought my first DSLR camera, a used Canon Rebel XTi, with a Sigma 18-200 lens. It was another month before I was able to get used to using it, too late for Diesel Days that year. So 2009 marked the first Diesel Days event for that camera. And it really changed the game. Between the camera and zoom lens, not only was I able to take wider angle shots with that Sigma lens, but more importantly, I was able to get the zoom that I had previously only dreamed of due to the limitations of my previous point & shoot cameras.
2009 also marked the 2nd year in the special collaboration between IRM and Union Pacific, which saw at least one of UP's Heritage Units on display during Diesel Weekend. This year, UP really stepped up the game, with not only UP 1995, the Chicago & Northwestern Heritage Unit, but both of the famed "CNW Twins" on display as well, CNW 8646 and CNW 8701, the final two unpatched CNW units.
Most of the photos featured in this series were made into a two-part video. The first video features images of Diesel Days from 2004 to 2014. It was presented at a small gathering of railfans known as Clarkefest 2023, an annual event that honors the legacy of renowned railroad photographer Clarke Renard. That video can be seen here:
