Op het baanvak Leeuwarden-Stavoren worden sinds april 2021 bijna alle treinritten met de nieuwe Wink-treinen gereden. Alleen in de ochtendspits rijden nog enkele slagen met GTW. Sinds november 2022 mag op de tussengelegen stations tussen Sneek en Stavoren ook met 4 bakken Wink gehalteerd worden. Dit leidde tot een verdere afname van de inzet van GTW's op deze vijftig kilometer lange Noordelijke Nevenlijn. De GTW's worden nu bijna alleen nog ingezet tussen Leeuwarden en Groningen en rondom Groningen.

Tussen Leeuwarden en Sneek is het landschap vrij kaal te noemen. Het levert mooie vergezichten op, maar voor de fotograaf is het vaak slechts een treinstel in een kaal landschap. Op de zonnige zondag 30 oktober 2022 ben ik op zoek gegaan naar wat alternatieve en nieuwe fotopuntjes. Bij Mantgum bleek nog wel iets mogelijk. Terwijl de schaapjes zich geïnteresseerd afvroegen wat die man toch kwam doen, passeerde Wink 601 onderweg als trein 37140 van Stavoren naar Leeuwarden de spoorwegovergang in de Seerp van Galemawei.

182 601 bespannte in Passau für Widmer einen Kesselzug nach Offenburg. Bei Langenisarhofen gelang eine Aufnahme.

Met de weersomslag van mooi rustig en vrij zonnig herfstweer naar een meer buiig weertype deze week, besloot ik op de nog redelijk zonnige zondag 30 oktober 2022 nog een rondje te rijden voor wat foto's van de Wink-treinen rondom Leeuwarden. In de loop van de dag zou er steeds meer sluierbewolking het land binnentrekken en dus werd er 's ochtends kort op uit getrokken.

Wederom was het doel treinen vast te leggen met wat herfstkleuren, iets wat maar een paar weken per jaar kan. De lijn naar Stavoren verloopt tot Sneek in een weids en open landschap, waar weinig bomen langs het spoor te vinden zijn. Bij Jellum vond ik dit doorkijkje op het nabijgelegen dorpje Boksum, waarvan de kerk links zichtbaar is. Arriva's 601 is hier onderweg als trein 37129 naar Stavoren.

Einen hübschen grünen Getreidezug hatte die HSL 185 601 im Maintal bei Harrbach am Haken.

Die Schweizer Firma Widmer Rail Services fährt seit einiger Zeit recht zuverlässig von und nach Ingolstadt. Mit einem Kesselzug nach Singen war die 182 601 hier bei Dollnstein unterwegs Richtung Treuchtlingen.

Am 20.08.2011 war das Neustrelitzer-Ferkel-Doppel 172 001/601 im Planverkehr auf der Strecke Bergen - Lauterbach im Einsatz. Bei Pastitz ergab sich dieser Blick. Sogar der Kreidetagebau bei Lancken ist zu sehen.

Zurück an der Bahnhofsruine von Priort kam 232 601 mit einem Schotterzug. Offensichtlich das Haupteinsatzgebiet von WFL im Berliner Großraum.

La 601.004 de Captrain, pasa por el Ifema con un tramesa

Am langen Pfingstwochenende, welches für mich aufgrund des mündlichen Abiturs bereits am Donnerstag begann, war ich hier und da etwas unterwegs.

Los ging es am Freitag mit einer Tour ins Leinetal. In der Hoffnung, dass die am Vortag nordwärts gefahrene 182 601 wieder zurückfährt ging es nach Elze und es hat sich tatsächlich bewahrheitet. Gegen kurz nach 10 Uhr konnte ich mein erstes Bild eines Hupac Taurus machen, welcher vermutlich im Auftag von ERC oder BLC unterwegs war.

Kürzlich zeigte ich bereits ein Bild des Optima-Express zwischen Dimitrovgrad und Niš mit einer 666. Wir fuhren im Anschluss weiter an die E-Strecke von Niš in Richtung Belgrad, um den besonderen Zug auch mit E-Lok nochmal zu fotografieren. Als Motiv wählten wir die Brücke über die Südliche Morava bei Supovac. Die Traktion übernahm nun 441 601. Bei diesem Zug handelt es sich übrigens um den einzigen, lokbespannten Personenzug zwischen Niš und Belgrad, die planmäßigen Züge auf dieser Relation verkehren mit Flirt-Triebwagen.

232 601-5 hatte am 30.11.24 die Aufgabe ihren Sonderzug von Berlin zum Weihnachtsmarkt nach Quedlinburg zu ziehen. Hier ist sie kurz vor Halberstadt, nur wenige Meter vor dem Einfahrtsignal zu sehen.

An unexpected bonus while in Bellows Falls for GMRC 405 was the appearance of New England Central Railroad local 601 down from White River Junction. Alas we were busy shooting the Alco on the bridge to North Walpole when we heard them so didn't get them nosing into the tunnel to clear the connection switch to the VRS. They spent a while switching up on the Patch Track and with their work done they are shoving out with a big cut of around 30 cars back onto their own property south of the diamond. This is about MP B0.3 at the end of modern day VRS' Falls Running Track of the Bellows Falls Subdivision which is the original Rutland Railway Green Mountain mainline.

They are crossing the truss bridge over the Bellows Falls Canal, one of the nation's first canals, which opened in 1802 to allow navigation on the Connecticut River to bypass the 52 ft high Great Falls. By 1858 the canal was no longer used for navigation, having been supplanted by the railroads, but instead provided water power to six adjacent mills. Eventually the lower end of the canal with the locks was filled in and the upper end here was widened in conjunction with the opening of the Bellows Falls Hydroelectric plant in 1928. The 49 megawatt station continues in use today and since 2017 has been owned by Great River Hydro LLC which owns 13 hydroelectric power facilities and 3 storage-only reservoirs along the Deerfield and Connecticut Rivers.

185 601 hat mit ihrem Kesselzug vor kurzem den Esslingerbergtunnel verlassen und rollt nun bei Hagenacker in Richtung Dollnstein durch das Altmühltal.

185 601 recently left the Esslingerberg tunnel with its tank train and is now rolling through the Altmühltal near Hagenacker towards Dollnstein.

La Britrac 601-008 de COMSA con un largo tren de contnedores cargados de carbón se aproxima a León procedente de San Juan de Nieva y con destino a Ponferrada. Mayo 2014

Curioso es siempre este tren que recorre de forma semanal medio país, desde San Roque a Barcelona y que ha ido con tracciones muy variadas de empresas muy distintas.

Esta vez, lo podemos ver pasando el espectacular y asombroso viaducto de Font de la Figuera camino San Roque.

Especial mención a que este tramo en un futuro dejará de ser de ancho ibérico y pasará a ser de ancho internacional.
