Day 38: It has been really cold here lately and my camera has noticed. It decided to try and warm up with one of my scarves.

I took a hike in the Pisgah National Forest today. I was looking for Max Patch but the mud and melting snow prevented us from finding it this trip. We hiked a trail anyway and found lovely views and lots of white patches. The incongruity of green, ferns, and moss against the dull browns and grays of winter was so hopeful. Surrounded by snow, they looked like Spring winking out at us.
The bee triplets are finally fully inflated but they stayed on the ground thanks to the crappy weather.
