It is native to thirty-three states in the United States as well four Canadian provinces. It occurs across much of eastern and central Canada as well as eastern and central United States.

Sehr erfreut war ich über den Einsatz von 371 005 vor den EC-Zügen im Elbtal. Am Nachmittag konnte ich sie auf ihrer Fahrt nach Prag bei Rathen ablichten.
Am 5.9. war ich zum ersten Mal im Elbtal fotografieren. Hauptaugenmerk waren die 371 vor den EuroCity zwischen Dresden und Prag, die im Dezember durch ELL-Vectrons ersetzt wurden. Der EC 171 war mit der nummerisch ersten 371 bespannt. In Rathen konnte ich ein Bild anfertigen.
Für den EC 177 positionierte ich mich wieder in Rathen - 371 001 gab sich die Ehre an dem Zug nach Prag.
