This is a Black-capped Chickadee making a landing on the sunflower seed feeder. They're on and off the feeder in a flash.
I had to put an 8-8-08 shot up this evening in celebration of the lucky day celebrated around the world. I also want to wish all of the United States Olympians good luck in their endeavors.
I have a funny story about this shot. My dad and I were at Lakeview Cemetery today. As soon as I got out of my car for the first time today I said to my dad, "Hey, I need to find a grave of an individual that was either born or had died in 1888 so I can get a shot to post to Flickr this evening for the special day." My dad looked down and the very first grave he looked at had the date I was looking for. The funnier thing is that we never saw another grave with the date all afternoon. Creepy story huh?!?!?
As we watch the last sunset of 2008. My wishes for you is the best 2009 for us all. And I would like to thank each and every one, for all your kind comments and faves.

Photo by ArtistikFunk. 1/2 hour quicky, solo mission, after I just finished rocking a fr8 with Much HM. He had to leave the yard and I was left to my own devices. Had to try to get my numbers up for the year but I got anxious and didn't want to blow the spot, so I left after 2. I wasn't able to get a shot of it because my memory card was full. Very much appreciated that I was able to get a great photo copy like this from Artistik. Good Lookin' out! Thanks Homeboy! Keep up the great work!

Funny, I used to live in the lightning capital of the world. Now I live in Brooklyn and I still dodging lightning, hurricanes, and tornados. You can take the boy out of the country, but you can not take the country out of the boy.
