Art Zuid 2015 Amsterdam NL
Rudi Fuchs, art historian and former director of Amsterdam based Stedelijk Museum, along with exhibition maker Maarten Bertheux is jointly responsible for the composition of ARTZUID 2015. The fourth edition of the biennial international sculpture route in Amsterdam will run from 22 May to 20 September 2015. The 2.5-kilometre route takes in Apollolaan, Minervalaan and the Zuidas business district. Fuchs has developed an innovative exhibition concept with 18 ‘stages’ erected in the open areas along the route. Each of the selected artists has been assigned their own stage on which several monumental sculptures are displayed. The participants are internationally renowned artists such as Georg Baselitz, Jaume Plensa, Tony Cragg, KAWS, John Chamberlain, Georg Herold and Mimmo Paladino.
