JOY is the settled assurance that God is in control of all the details of my life. The quiet confidence that ultimately everything is going to be okay and the determined choice to praise God in all things. by Kay Warren
Pulling prop-vortices in the damp air and fighting a cross-wind, Hispano-built HA-1112-M1L Buchón 'Black 2' masquerading as a German Luftwaffe 'Messerschmidt Bf-109' caught departing Dunsfold during the annual Wings & Wheels show.
Licence-built by Hispano this ex Spanish Air Force machine was fitted with a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and along with several others and some Heinkel He-111 look-a-likes - the CASA.211, she was sold off in the 1960's and used in the movie, 'The Battle of Britain'.
Filmed at Duxford and a number of other locations in Europe, the film company used a variety of actual Spitfires and Hurricanes plus some specially constructed examples blown up in the crash scenes.
Along with these 109's and 111's, in the mix too were a couple of 'Stukas' - modified from Percival Proctors and all filmed using modified B-25 Mitchell camera-ships.
As here, many are now part of the UK & US Warbird scene and recently a hangar full of the ex film company 109's has been found in the USA.
Untouched since being acquired as payment for services rendered during the filming, the contents of the hangar will soon be coming up for auction!

After the final parts arrived today, I stopped playing Titanfall 2 for a brief moment, to finish the third Titan: Ion
Ion is probably my favourite Titan from Titanfall 2 in terms of looks. His proportions just work and he is more bulked up than Ronin or Northstar, while still looking agile.
Because he is a bit sturdier than the others he can carry his special weapon, the "Splitter Rifle"
I also really like his default color scheme, which is possible in LEGO-form thanks to the colors "Bright Light Orange" and "Medium Dark Flesh".
I hope you like it :)
UPDATE: I added pictures of him without the baseplate.
Another new addition to my Arm. Brigade!
Scrapped my old Morris C4 GS truck and built this. IMO, the War Office Truck is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen, but still I felt I had to make one!
And now, some reflections of my own. Without mentioning names or specific situations, I must confess I do not understand how some people can act the way they do these days. And please don't say you can't avoid it. Decent behaviour is possible and should be promoted, not ignored. For example: two dear members of our community have fallen out with each other, yet, I've never seen an angry word between the two on my pictures. I must, therefore take my hat off to them and ask: why can't everyone else do the same? I get very sad when I turn on the web page and I see all kinds of "goodbye" pics. Life's full of other things to make us sad, why should we do it to each other online?
Please, make use of the holiday's spirit and forgive those who have hurt you and make an effort to deserve forgiveness from those you've hurt.
Now, please everyone, cheer up and have a wonderful Christmas!

With both types of Gemini 3 bodywork(which I will call the G2.5 and G3 for the sake of it) available for a photo, I thought I may as well get it!
Both buses are on a Volvo B5LH chassis, based at Go-Ahead London General's Mandela Way(MW) depot and working the 1 from Tottenham Court Road to Canada Water.

This picture is #2 in the 100 Strangers Project - ROUND 3
Meet Yulia.
Was in amazing Prague for Xmas and was hoping to move round 3 of my project along . However things turned out far more challenging than I imagined. The never ending list of fabulous attractions provided very little time to venture out - and even when we could it was dark with the short days and I was not really carrying my primary lens or light-set-up.Last but not the least language was a big barrier, Trying to approach a random stranger, usually walking with companions or groups, and trying to explain my intent in English and establishing a connection was a hurdle. But one can only try and hope for the best. One such evening, wifey went shopping and my son and I walked to the toy store and then strolled a little to try the luck. My son is my lucky mascot with a 100% success rate when he is around. Despite a abundance of diverse crowd of strangers over 15 minutes didn't find the inspiration to make an approach, till Yulia came along.
As as happened many a time on this project she instantly stood out despite a heavily crowded area. Stylishly dressed and elegant, she was undoubtedly very beautiful - my son put it best "she looked like a doll". I approached her, and made my request. Luck favored me - she spoke English - and was happy to be a part of the project. It was difficult to miss her smile and her happy blue eyes exuding warmth and kindness, speaking with friendliness. The next challenge was light since it was already dark. One of my goals for this round is to experiment with light - and not limit myself to soft natural light but use available light. We were by a shopping center and decided to experiment using the big light source of the panels at the entrance. My son Leon was a huge help, in not only encouraging me to make the request, but also holding the reflector without any complaints despite the cold.
Yulia completely took over - like a model - posing with a confidence with a series of expressions. It was really impressive to see a young lady, having just met a random stranger, to show such confidence and attitude. I really regretted the lack of equipment and time - to do her justice. As we worked through the shots, we also learned a little more about this young lady. She hails from Russia, but studies and works in Prague. She studies tourism and and loves dancing especially the salsa. Also very apparent was her love travelling and meeting people - which is not a surprise. In subsequent interactions what also came across was how mature she was for her age. with her thinking.
Once we were done I provided Yulia my contact card. She thanked me profusely for including her on the project - which honestly showed her character and humility as a person. Honestly she was the one doing me a favor by trusting me and giving me her time, and I was the one who was grateful. . That said her reaction to being a part of the project did give me lot of satisfaction and encouragement. I do feel that she could do wonders as a model with a superior photographer/set-up - given how photogenic and expressive she is. In fact post the session we connected and almost planned a follow-up session but it didn't work out due to time constraints - i do regret the lost opportunity but maybe some other day.
Thanks a lot Yulia for being a part of this project - it was great meeting you and making your acquaintance. I wish you all the very best for your future.

The Alternator is a SMG that fires a 20-round magazine, alternating between its side by side twin barrels.
My favorite weapon designs added to Titanfall 2 are the double- and triple-barreled weapons like the Double-Take, Mozambique, and Alternator, for their uniqueness in design and gameplay. Built from Brian Burrell's 3D models of the gun for Titanfall 2 - www.artstation.com/artwork/e3zQ3
Working features: moving trigger, removable magazine, sliding ambidextrous charging handle

This is a pic for those who plan on taking Karolins hair down. I would suggest you DON'T. She is about 20% rooted, with worse rooting than a 99 cents store knock off barbie.
I'm not 100% sold on the number boards. And I know the trucks should be light grey, even if I'm feeling especially lazy.

p.s tagged you Lucky because I kbow you needed it some time ago.
First, thanks for all the supportive messages yesterday and today, on the 1/365 photo - much appreciated. Today I woke too early, fell asleep again and eventually re-surfaced at 1.40pm....a couple of hours later it was snowing heavily. Taken again on my Fuji Instax Mini 90. As it's going to be difficult to have too many varied locations, at least for the start of the year, I though I'd try and mix up the tools used. The flash caught some of the snow, which at this point was quite thick, with large flakes..
Taken on 2nd January - according to the app I use to upload, the date taken is showing as 2nd January but not on the desktop site. Hope this note suffices if it doesn’t rectify itself.
The E-2 Hawkeye is an airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft in service with many nations across the world. Created by Northrop Grumman, they are carrier capable and offer all-weather capability to provide an eye in the sky for friendly forces.
Campus at Biosphere 2, near Tucson, Arizona. Biosphere 2 was opened in 1991 to a crew of 8, who spent two years in the completely enclosed environment, who tested our ability to create closed ecosystems that could sustain humans. It was meant to recreate what would be possible on a space colony. They grew there own food, made there own oxygen and water, and had a food system 5x more productive than equivalent space in open space. On the other hand, they broke into two factions that disliked one another, and the closed systems took an enormous amount of external energy to keep them going, as there was no solar energy used. Today it serves as an experimental facility for the University of Arizona.

Winmore Keeling. 57 years old. Walking home in the pouring rain. He has spent his entire life dedicated to the medical arts, specifically to becoming an optician. He was a master of his craft and the top of his field. However, he was currently at a bump in the road. The university at which he was presently teaching and developing ideas had refused his proposed future technology for the 4th time. Winmore was angry and disappointed, so much so he was designing the equipment in the basement of his own home, and he was definitely no major tech designer. However, he was determined to succeed. 7 months later and he had his first prototype ready to be tested. If it worked, Keeling even had a company name planned out; Iris Vision. The premise of these glasses was to reflect the colour spectrum into the wearer's retinas and a permanent contact lense would flip the image and transmit it to the cornea, then the brain. However, at the moment the glasses needed a large amount of energy to power. If it worked though, it would supposedly provide 20/20 vision to anyone, even those that has gone partially blind.
First prototype test; 6.57pm
Not wanting to potentially go blind in both eyes, Keeling opted to use a monocle for the first test. To begin with, he attached the permanent contact lense to his . “There is no going back now” he says jokingly, but it was the truth. He was feeling very emotional at this point, as he felt like this could be the breakthrough of his career and almost as if his entire life had been leading up to this point. Next he set-up the monocle and power supply, but as soon as he turned on the power supply, the colour spectrum injected into his eye, through his retina into the cornea and then the brain. All the emotions he had been feeling recently like; Fear, Confidence, Hope, Wisdom, Evil and more. They were all flowing through him simultaneously. After several seconds of searing pain, it ended. He was no longer Winmore Keeling. He had become… The Rainbow Man.
