Canadian Pacific SD40-2 No. 6055 works a ballast train at Yahk, British Columbia on May 5, 2018. No. 6055 was built in December 1984 and was among the last SD40-2s ever purchased by the CP. Today, the locomotive is still sporting its mutlimark and is one of only a handful of SD40-2s still working on CP.

The brambling (Fringilla montifringilla) is a small passerine bird in the finch family Fringillidae. It has also been called the cock o' the north and the mountain finch.

The brambling is similar in size and shape to a common chaffinch. Breeding-plumaged male bramblings are very distinctive, with a black head, dark upperparts, orange breast and white belly. Females and younger birds are less distinct, and more similar in appearance to some chaffinches. In all plumages, however, bramblings differs from chaffinches in a number of features:

brambling has a white rump whereas that of chaffinch is grey-green;

the breast is orange, contrasting with a white belly on brambling, whereas on chaffinch the underparts of more uniformly coloured (pink or buff);

brambling's scapular feathers are orange, whereas chaffinch's are grey or grey-brown;

the flanks are dark-spotted on brambling, plain on chaffinch;

bramblings lack the white outer tail feathers of chaffinch.

An additional difference for all plumages except breeding-plumaged males is the bill colour - yellow in brambling, dull pinkish in chaffinch (breeding-plumaged male bramblings have black bills, chaffinches in the corresponding plumage have grey bills).

Leyland Marathon 2 VPE441S was originally a demonstrator for Wadham-Stringer at Croydon. Subsequently purchased by Adams-Bristow Ltd for specialist low-loader/abnormal load work, mainly involving marine craft.

Purchased a short time before the company's demise, this vehicle was moved to an undercover storage location in the early 1990's and had remained there until recently, when it was started-up and made able to move under its own power. Seeing daylight for the first time in many years, it was washed-off and then returned to the shed to await a new owner, for whom restoration will be a relatively easy task.

A train being loaded with dirt at the Osthafen. Where will it end up? A motorway, a bridge approach, some large building? Fasciniating to see all this soil, rubles and dirt economy.

Origami Wasp 2.6 designed by Satoshi Kamiya and folded by Ivan Svatko.

That's something I always wanted to fold. Now I'm very glad that I acheived more or less satisfactory result. I used 40x40cm square of Tissue paper which isn't small but tissue paper is too soft. It takes ages to fold one so I don't know when I'll fold it again. But honestly I should to because I have some interesting ideas about modifying it.

First of all I want to make the head and the body more 3D. While the head is rather OK, the body is just weird. I know that's the part of Kamiya's original design but it looks perfect for me just in his own versions. I can't copy it. I want to shape it in my own way, I want to make something between Kamiya's Wasp 2.0 and Lang's Yellow Jacket but using more productive base which 2.6 has.

Next, I want to work more on the details of head and body. I've already added extra pleats to abdomen now I have to shape the head properly.

Finally, the wings. I don't know whether I'll touch them but I always want to fold them to the back, to align with the abdomen.

So now I just have to try. The first step is done)

Stupid cape won't bend the way I want. I'll have to fix that. Boi Azreal is gonna be my own design.

Don't really want to write in paragraph form, so here are some facts about the picture:

1. I wish my hair was out of my face so you could see my eyes

2. I'm addicted to cute photos like this, I love em'

3. That sweater is comfy

4. When taking pictures with my boyfriend, I don't tell him what to do. I just talk to him, and he tries to act all cute (well, he is!)

5. I think I like this photo better then the other upload

6. My favorite part about the photo is the exression on our faces

Have a great night everyone! More uploads tomorrow,

Love love always!

Breaking News! The sequel to one of my favorite animated movies of all time has been announced and is coming out on March 9, 2018! Holy shit, another 2018 movie, that year is going to be LIT! The director of the film commented on the story of the movie saying "[Ralph] leaves the arcade and wrecks the Internet. ... What could go wrong?" Do you guys like the sound of this synopsis? Leave your thought in the comments below!

Jan 2 - So CC's official entry into this year's project has begun. For those who are unfamiliar with this character, she's the cat who belongs to my next door neighbor...but generally prefers to hang out around my house and another neighbor's house. Of course, that may be because we feed her loads of treats.

She loves snow...and I mean LOVES it. Because we were getting another fresh coat today, I managed to grab some other shots...but I liked this one the best. She was playing a bit of hide and seek with me on the porch.

Oh, and CC is short for Crazy Cat.

A LP640 was on 4th place and now here's number 2. Very cool to see it in Munich. Any guesses on the winner? I'm quite sure you all know.
