When this Hot Wheels 1973 Volvo 142 GL which debuted in the excellent Autostrasse set appeared in the UK it was snapped up so quickly I had no chance of getting one. Proving how fickle we collectors can be the very latest orange recolour is already becoming a peg warmer which makes no sense to me though with premiums now an eye watering 9.00 at Smyths maybe people are now being particularly choosy in what they buy.
Again, in France I had absolutely no problem finding any and happily snapped up this one example. I'm not a fan of its lowered ride height of course but otherwise I really can see why it got mega hyped, and thats not including its black chase release too!
They've captured the ultra boxy lines of this 70's saloon perfectly and being a premium release you can be guaranteed of a superior paint finish, full metal body, all round tampo detailing and of course the now legendary Real Rider wheels.

A Bit of a tradition with my sisters and I is to drink milk through peppermint crisps. My younger sister bought these so I dare not open them yet.
