Spruce Bears

Here is the ex-New Zealand Railways JA Class engine #1271 hauling the Steam Incorporated Daffodil Express excursion from Wellington to Masterton and return. The locomotive is coupled to a pair of beautifully-restored DA class diesel-electric locomotives for the trip through the 8.93 km Remutaka Tunnel between Upper Hutt and Featherston, as the tunnel's ventilation system was not designed to cope with the smoke and fumes from steam trains. The train is seen here at Featherston, in the process of reverting to steam traction.
Today's story and sketch by me # 1271, Is concerning the Spacecraft that just within the last few minute landed here on the Tropical Volcanic Planet we call Budahunga. The interesting thing is not so much that the spacecraft landed here, because we have strange people in all types of interdimension vehicles, like Short journey Stratolounger's, to massive Interstellar Starships that have their navigation and audio systems taken over by the "VOV" Voodoo' Opera Virus. It happens when a Spacecraft is gliding along on it's pre programmed route. Then Kabbam, that is the actual sound the Virus makes when it takes over the ships navigation system, then it begins playing loud Opera Music. Then the Virus redirects anything from the small personal space runabout, or large Galaxy Transporter to Budahunga, for what re ason we the "MCPPOTG" Man Cave Posse Protectors Of The Galaxy, have not figured out, but we're working on a few theories, but they will have to be stories for another time. Because at the moment my concern is about the Spacecraft in question,with a very notorious pirate pilot, a Pirate known throughout the Galaxy. His name is Suwavay Debowner. His last known location was the maximum security prison Planet, Playa Beautimus, where Suwavay was serving seventeen consecutive life sentences, for stealing two hundred seventy pairs of shoes from Queen Mariana, of the Planet Moreover, she banished him from the Castle. But where he has hidden the shoes, and just how he managed to escape from the escape proof prison Planet, will have to be stories for another time, until then Tata the Rod Blog.
