Formation honoring the loss of Jet Class racer Brad Morehouse, one of two pilots killed while racing. Also lost was Gary Hubler, a wildly successful Formula One racer. Steve Dari, who was killed during the race week, departed the airport after the end of qualifying on Tuesday and crashed off the end of the runway. The two racing deaths were the first since 2002, when a Sport Class pilot was killed.
Thankfully, Saturday and Sunday were completely safe, despite several mayday calls. Aviation, as many have said, is safe; racing (in all its forms) is dangerous, and the pilots know the risks.

A memorial service took place for 8 'No-Longer Forgotten Veterans. They were located & Identified as Veterans who served during WWII, The Korean War & The Vietnam War. Thanks to the Volunteer efforts of the West Virginia Missing in America Project, all 8 were rendered their Military Honors (some after 23 Years) @ West Virginia Memorial Cemetery. Thanks to all groups & members of the community who paid their respects. Thanks to Triple S Harley Davidson who opened their Store during a Holiday & a normally closed day. Thanks to the West Virginia State Police & Local Law Enforcement for providing the safe escort of over a 100 individuals who traveled a distance of nearly 100 miles, across two states. Thanks to Hershel 'Woody' Williams - USMC, Medal of Honor Recipient- guest speaker. Thanks to WDTV, WTRF & all media who came out to cover the service.

While exploring an ancient pyramid Dr Eldon Curtis went missing. His camera ( containing a plate ) was found among the ruins of his campsite. This was the picture on the plate.
