Sir Geoff Hurst

Sir Geoff Hurst at the Chelmsford City FC Charter Standard Presentation on Saturday 22nd January 2011 where Geoff was guest of honour.

 

Sir Geoffrey Charles Hurst, MBE was born December 8th 1941 in Ashton-under-Lyne Lancashire and is a former footballer of West Ham and England. He is the only player to have scored a hat-trick in a World Cup final for England in their 4-2 win over West Germany at Wembley in July 1966.

 

Geoff was born in Ashton-under-Lyne Lancashire and moved with his family to Chelmsford when he was 8 years old. He is a former pupil of Kings Road Primary School and Rainsford High School.
