Sandford Lock
Sandford Lock is located on the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation River and Canal not too far from the City of Chelmsford in the County of Essex (UK).
Note the concrete overbridge in the distance that goes over the navigation and carries the A12 'Chelmsford bypass' trunk Road.
This location is just one nautical mile virtually to the inch from my home. A very amiable part of the world and a lovely towpath walk from Chelmsford city centre which eventually ends up about 10 miles away in the town of Maldon.
