Uber and Budweiser
Jingle all the way.. For free with Uber.
Kind of ironic this Budweiser Uber billboard advertisement is placed at the front of the taxi rank at Chelmsford Railway Station in Essex (UK) where fully licensed hackney carriage taxi's along with their fully licensed drivers ply for hire.
The keyword here is licensed. Passengers can be assured that the licensed hackney carriage taxi vehicle they're getting into along with the driver have met stringent criteria as laid down by the local licensing authority. That simply cannot be said about a pre booked only Uber vehicle, free or not.
Remember too that Uber vehicles are not taxi's and cannot use the word legally anywhere including advertising. That's why there's no mention of the word 'taxi' on this billboard.
£15 will not get you very far either in a City like London on New Year's Eve. This is just a marketing publicity promotional con from a corporation with too much money to burn and is severely detrimental to the law abiding licenced hackney carriage and private hire trade of the United Kingdom.
Budweiser should stick to brewing beer and not get involved in something they no nothing about.
